Can't wait for the bedroom scenes!

Monica’s contract just got renewed.

I don’t see it at all.

I'll be looking for this. Sounds great.

Finally, the part Andrew Garfield was BORN to play!
A flamboyant, gay man.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 12, 2025 9:46 PM |
Love it!

My mom used to ask me how Siegfried and Roy were doing after the tiger attack. She thought all gay men knew each other.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 12, 2025 9:59 PM |
This looks like it could actually be interesting. I like both Law and Garfield.

Lyin’ and Tigers and Flair! Oh my!
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 12, 2025 10:04 PM |
If they use real cats, people will be outraged. And if they use CG ones and they look shitty, people will also be outraged.
I don't care either way, I'm just depressed that for the second time in a week, we can't cast a single gay actor for an ostensibly gay role.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 12, 2025 10:04 PM |
I bet it was tight 😏
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 12, 2025 10:05 PM |
When will Garfield play Anthony. Perkins, a role he was born to play.

"Finally, the part Andrew Garfield was BORN to play!

What am I, chopped liver?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 12, 2025 10:07 PM |
He’s already too old to play Perkins
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 12, 2025 10:08 PM |
Not at all, R15. Perkins' career didn't begin and end with PSYCHO.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 12, 2025 10:32 PM |
So you just want a film based on Perkins in his late 30s and up? How lame.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 12, 2025 10:35 PM |
[quote] So you just want a film based on Perkins in his late 30s and up?
A definitive portrayal of Perkins during the years of The Black Hole and Psychos II-IV is most necessary.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 12, 2025 10:39 PM |
There are no queeny German actors who could've done these roles?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 12, 2025 10:43 PM |
R18 sounds boring. His career was completely in the dump by then and the only interesting thing about him was his closeted gay life
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 12, 2025 10:43 PM |
Siegfried and Roy said they had been a couple early on but no longer were.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 12, 2025 10:46 PM |
Fags!

Didn't they keep a stable of twinks on their property?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 13, 2025 12:05 AM |
That’s really interesting. This could be decent.
I hope Garfield doesn’t go too big with it. His Jim Bakker was so over the top and he seemed like he was playing him as gay, which I thought was very funny.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 13, 2025 12:10 AM |
How many times has Garfield played gay now? 🤔
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 13, 2025 12:16 AM |
I'm looking forward to it. I'm hoping the show has lots of wretched Vegas excess like in the Behind the Candelabra. Their estate sale was full of gaudy and expensive trash.

Will there be butt stuff?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 13, 2025 12:46 AM |
No - Bomer and Bailey would be PERFECT in this!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 13, 2025 12:49 AM |
Would rather have Bomer or Bailey than Garfield, who's a Mel Gibson defender
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 13, 2025 12:50 AM |
Bomer and Bailey would be the biggest miscasting ever. Please spare me
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 13, 2025 12:54 AM |
How would either of them be more miscast than Garfield?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 13, 2025 1:00 AM |
Damon and Affleck were born to do this movie together.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 13, 2025 1:03 AM |
Garfield isn’t miscast. At all.

^ Vee bought a zoo, Siegfried!

Cough... Andrew Garfield... cough, cough

I freelanced in Vegas advertising in the late 90s - the local creatives said a very common rumor around town was that the “original” Roy had died of AIDS awhile back, and the current “Roy” was actually his brother - who had undergone extensive plastic surgery in order to keep the act going.
Now if you were around S & R at all, and I was on a shoot, they and their entourage were so strange that such a wildly improbable urban legend starts to seem maybe not so improbable after all.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 13, 2025 1:40 AM |
Two closet cases playing two closet cases. You gotta love Hollywood.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 13, 2025 1:43 AM |
How were they strange, r36? Who was in their entourage?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 13, 2025 1:51 AM |
R11 can't make up his mind whether he's more annoyed about the prospect of CGI cats or CGI gays.

[bold]Andrew Garfield on His Sexuality: 'I Have an Openness to Any Impulses That May Arise'[/bold]
[italic]Andrew Garfield isn’t drawing a line on any life experiences.
For the most recent OUT Magazine cover story, the actor opens up about playing a gay man in the play Angels of America — and how he hasn’t necessarily closed the door on ever being sexually attracted to a man.
“Up until this point, I’ve only been sexually attracted to women,” Garfield says. “My stance toward life, though, is that I always try to surrender to the mystery of not being in charge. I think most people — we’re intrinsically trying to control our experience here, and manage it, and put walls around what we are and who we are. I want to know as much of the garden as possible before I pass — I have an openness to any impulses that may arise within me at any time.”
He continues, “But, if I were to identify, I would identify as heterosexual, and being someone who identifies that way, and who’s taking on this seminal role, my scariest thought was, ‘Am I allowed to do this?’ ”
In the play, The Amazing Spider-Man star plays Prior Walter, a gay man battling the reality of AIDS during the height of the 1980s crisis that killed hundreds of thousands in the gay community. The actor sparked backlash from the LGBT community in July 2017 when he was starring in the London production of the play and stated that he was a“gay man right now, just without the physical act.”
Garfield later said his comments were “twisted” and “taken out of context,” clarifying that he was referring to how he was immersed in gay culture while preparing for the role.
“I think part of what I was trying to say was about inclusion, and about that openness to my impulses,” he said.[/italic]

R40 In other words: "I've done the homosex, but don't put any labels on me, except the STRAIGHT one".
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 13, 2025 5:32 AM |
The problem with all that rationalising in R40's link (and wow, it's a lot) is that Garfield was 35 when he said this. If he "want[s] to know as much of the garden as possible before I pass", why hadn't he already tried gay sex?
He'd been in British theatre, FFS. He could have done what someone on another DL thread reportedly did: use Grindr and find a match within 1 metre.
Likewise, if he thought it was insensitive to play Prior when there were gay actors who could do it (and who didn't have Marvel money), he could have said no. If you didn't say no, then of course you're going to look hypocritical asking OUT Magazine for sympathy because you were worried about it.
Also, media will twist your words for sensationalism even when you're quite straightforward, but if you give them a giant word salad like this it's an invitation.

He should identify as Insufferable
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 13, 2025 8:09 AM |
Siegfried and Roy are not two people I have any desire to learn more about. Only if this series promised to erase any knowledge of these two freaks ...

He identifies as a Jewish artist.
