While I suppose that it's technically correct, to write that someone was looking to engage in prostitution usually means that the person was trying to be a prostitute, not HIRE a prostitute.

Many of the articles also say that he was "arrested for alleged involvement in Columbus prostitution ring" - again suggesting he was a prostitute, not that he was looking to hire one. You aren't invovled in a prostitution ring unless you're part of the ring, not a john hiring.

Years ago I worked in a convenience store on a road notorious for prostitution . It used to boggle my mind how many good looking men Id see picking up those whores . Some of these guys arrested will have gone out that night and were looking for sex and some may have been out doing shit and just spotted a pretty girl who looked clean and inviting was making great eye contact and with luck might take $20. A spur of the moment decision.

I have seen a large number of these arrested/ hooker articles in the paper over the past decades and a large number of articles about men busted in one particular xxx-movie theater as well. .

In these cases, getting paid to have sex with multiple partners is purely legal and called 'family entertainment'., not what it really is: prostitution. Maybe the police need to infiltrate some undercover detectives, and do a sting on the show ?
