It's unfortunate how many actors I don't find attractive are the ones willing to go full frontal - Jude Law, Heath Ledger, etc

It's unfortunate that actors allow themselves to be made spectacles of this way.

I never found him as attractive as other people did when he was young, because he ahd resting bitch face, and looked mean all the time. But I like him more now that he's older, for some reason. he really has a great body--it's athletic and well built but he doesn;t look like he's obsessed with getting big.

In the Harold Pinter reboot of "Sleuth" (commissioned by Jude himself), Harold had Michael Caine's character ask Jude's actor character what sort of parts he plays, and has Jude's reply, "Killers mostly, sex maniacs, perverts," and Caine's say, "But you're so charming!" Brilliant summing up of Jude at that time in his career. More power to him for taking it from there into so many more interesting directions.

That’s kind of the point though and it’s part of the job. In this case, the nudity isn’t just for spectacle. It actually tells you a lot about his character. He doesn’t want anyone else on that island, and walking out nude is his way of saying, “I don’t care what you think, and I definitely don’t respect you.”

Actors use their bodies the same way they use their voice or expression: to tell a story. People are naked sometimes in real life. So it happens on screen too. When done right, it’s not just about being seen, it’s about being understood.
