Frontier Airlines gate agents' fabulous behavior gets them fired

I was surprised this wasn't Philadelphia

Oh, c'mon. When the agent repeats herself like a broken record, she is clearly antagonizing the customer. "You thought you were gonna get on this flight", complete with obnoxious hand gestures. This is so common with a certain demographic in Philly. Also, what are the pronouns of the other gate agent?

I just think it's funny, everybody with their phones out, recording each other. It's a crazy world.

Late to the party.

It is a shitty entry level position that no one wants. That is not the point. This situation required a supervisor capable of deescalating the argument and yes, reprimanding the rogue staff.

by Anonymousreply 4May 11, 2025 5:08 PM

I read the staff are contract employees, aka temps. That is the problem with a problematic staffing agency who skims the wages due to the employees.

by Anonymousreply 5May 11, 2025 5:10 PM

R4 The "entry level" of their position is no excuse for that behavior.

There are plenty of "entry level" jobs that don't require interaction with the public. Those two cunts are better suited for packing boxes in an Amazon warehouse.

And yes, the supervisor should've acted. And yes, the supervisor should've also been fired.

by Anonymousreply 6May 11, 2025 5:10 PM

How ignorant do you have to be, to behave this way at your job while being recorded while your thick body hand then starts recording the customer recording you. Notice the supervisor ain’t saying shit. Thots like these bitches give black people a bad name.

by Anonymousreply 7May 11, 2025 5:14 PM

I don’t give a fuck if you only had to read a Dr. Seuss book to get the position. That is no way to behave in any professional setting. Perhaps they should be unemployed for a while so they can grow up.

by Anonymousreply 8May 11, 2025 5:18 PM

If you are not getting paid and you are forced to deal with the public who is demanding and nasty, I am gonna give you a pass for losing your temper. Occasionally.

But not this.

This shit went on for too long with the employees taunting and goading the passenger.

by Anonymousreply 9May 11, 2025 5:37 PM

Excuse me? When this passenger pulled the phone out to record the staff flipping out, that was the moment a supervisor was required to deescalate this encounter. It should never get that far.

Low wage earners should be not responsible for reinforcing complex company policies.

I don't know what happened before the recording began but based on the bad behavior of the staff, Frontier is at fault for not producing adequate resources including properly trained supervisors.

The fact the airline is using temps is a big clue of the problem. They use temporary staff to avoid paying good wages and benefits. This is what you get.

The customer is not always right but at the very least a customer deserves respectful customer service!

by Anonymousreply 10May 11, 2025 5:50 PM

This just goes on for too long and they're obviously goading him. They are not behaving professionally.

Gate agents receive a fair amount of training regarding how to deescalate situations with upset customers. If they cannot do the job they were hired to do, they should be fired. Your excuses for them are not persuasive, r10.

by Anonymousreply 11May 11, 2025 5:58 PM

R10 I don’t give a fuck what was going on. Those wacky bitches know that is no way to talk to a customer or anyone for that matter. They were being spiteful. They must have smoke some good weed that morning. Well I take that back. Weed usually makes you pleasant. They act like they smoked some fucking crack. I said what I said.

by Anonymousreply 12May 11, 2025 6:03 PM

When you are a company who uses a staffing agency to low ball wages and sidestep your responsibility of providing adequate training or benefits to your employees, you get the kinds of employee who could not even keep a job at a shithole like McDonald's.

by Anonymousreply 13May 11, 2025 6:10 PM

What really pisses me off is that these two bitches were contract workers, so Frontier simply had to terminate their contracts. No disciplinary action, no consequences other than not coming back to Frontier. Now they're free to bring their bitch act to another budget airline, like Spirit.

by Anonymousreply 14May 11, 2025 6:12 PM

Using contract workers is the problem. The nail in the coffin is not providing CONTRACT WORKERS with adequate supervision.

by Anonymousreply 15May 11, 2025 6:14 PM

SHAR'KEISHA, NO!!!

by Anonymousreply 16May 11, 2025 11:28 PM

So, was the customer supposed to pay an extra $25 for counter service or not? Was he supposed to check himself in online with his particular fare deal?

by Anonymousreply 17May 12, 2025 9:45 AM

They don’t have giant fake lashes and bedazzled talon nails, so that’s a plus.

by Anonymousreply 18May 12, 2025 12:20 PM

R1- These two LADIES remind me of the statue in Times Square.
