Arcade Fire? I guess the producers were really struggling to get someone for this week.

by Anonymousreply 1May 11, 2025 2:29 AM

[quote] I guess the producers were really struggling to get someone for this week.

I would guess they have the same manager or publicist or something. If you want him, you have to take them as well.

by Anonymousreply 2May 11, 2025 2:33 AM

I have no idea who Walton Goggins is and - after looking him up - I haven't seen a single thing he's been in.

Why is he popular all of a sudden? He's got an 8-head, otherwise he's alright.

by Anonymousreply 3May 11, 2025 2:36 AM

He’s a right wanker!

by Anonymousreply 4May 11, 2025 2:48 AM

Yay! Cecily is back as Jeanine Piro.

by Anonymousreply 5May 11, 2025 3:33 AM

So great to see Cecily—one of the best castmembers they’ve had, ie those that have personalities, humor and charisma. Drink up, Jeanie! 😜 🍷

by Anonymousreply 6May 11, 2025 3:40 AM

Goggins looks like a 70s choreographer in that outfit. Where's Benson Boone when you need him.

by Anonymousreply 7May 11, 2025 3:41 AM

Cecily always looks pregnant, whether she is or not.

#gutgirl

by Anonymousreply 8May 11, 2025 3:45 AM

Is Heidi in this skit with another castmembers? Where’s the piped-in singer coming from?

OHH…it’s Miss Breakfast Club!

by Anonymousreply 9May 11, 2025 3:52 AM

This guy visually and comically sucks.

by Anonymousreply 10May 11, 2025 3:58 AM

ROCKWELL!!!!

by Anonymousreply 11May 11, 2025 3:59 AM

Cecily got plump.

by Anonymousreply 12May 11, 2025 4:07 AM

I guess the writers are saving the decent sketches for Scarlett next week and filling this show with the crap that wrote this season that never made it past the table read.

by Anonymousreply 13May 11, 2025 4:12 AM

Baby got back ... fat!

by Anonymousreply 14May 11, 2025 4:13 AM

[quote]Cecily got plump.

Big as a HOUSE!

by Anonymousreply 15May 11, 2025 4:14 AM

"Just tell Siri, 'Siri, NEVER play Arcade Fire or else I'll get an Android.'"

by Anonymousreply 16May 11, 2025 4:16 AM

I'm so sick of Marcello yelling in a Hispanic accent. This is just like when Leslie Jones would scream through her bits.

by Anonymousreply 17May 11, 2025 4:25 AM

I understand that Marcello Hernandez is breaking out on the show, but I don't understand how he's Gen Z and 90% of his characters are Hispanic stereotypes.

I have Native American parentage, but I would never play a woo-woo-woo Injun for a primary spot on SNL.

by Anonymousreply 18May 11, 2025 4:27 AM

This WU is going on and on and on and on.

by Anonymousreply 19May 11, 2025 4:31 AM

I'm over Heidi Gardner, whom I was never really sold on.

She's no Molly Shannon, Kristen Wiig or Maya Rudolph, and she's been on the show as long.

by Anonymousreply 20May 11, 2025 4:34 AM

R19 because anymore that’s all anybody watches.

by Anonymousreply 21May 11, 2025 4:34 AM

Frickin’ Bowen distractingly ruins and hogs every skit he appears—like Leslie Jones.

by Anonymousreply 22May 11, 2025 4:41 AM

This band: Was there a rainout tonight at the local King Arthur’s Faire, which loaned them out for this TV appearance?!

by Anonymousreply 23May 11, 2025 4:48 AM

Cecily is pregnant.

And of course the second Jeannine's appointment was announced we all knew she'd be on.

by Anonymousreply 24May 11, 2025 4:50 AM

R21, the headline jokes are usually funny, but the character appearances pretty much suck. To add insult to insult their bits tend to go on for far too long.

by Anonymousreply 25May 11, 2025 4:53 AM

What the hell was Cecily wearing for the goodbyes? A 1960s maternity dress?

Regardless, Ego was clearly thrilled to see her.

by Anonymousreply 26May 11, 2025 5:02 AM

I do not understand Walter.

by Anonymousreply 27May 11, 2025 5:41 AM

Arcade Fire?

Where was the fire?

by Anonymousreply 28May 11, 2025 6:45 AM

Sorry, I misspoke above.

Cecily WAS pregnant and just had her baby a few weeks ago.

by Anonymousreply 29May 11, 2025 2:19 PM

Whew! Worst episode of the season.....and there was a lot of competition.

by Anonymousreply 30May 11, 2025 2:59 PM

This show was one of the worst. Except for the opening, everything fell flat. The 'Mother's Day Brunch' was the worst. The only highlight was watching Mikey Day on 'Weekend Update' (Day is great at slapstick comedy - and he has a nice body to look at ).

Arcade Fire: Were they contestants who couldn't go past round one on American Idol ? God they were awful.

by Anonymousreply 31May 11, 2025 4:15 PM

Walton’s body was a highlight

by Anonymousreply 32May 11, 2025 5:26 PM

The visit to the haunted restaurant was abysmal.

by Anonymousreply 33May 11, 2025 6:40 PM

I think SNL is getting hard up for musical acts.

by Anonymousreply 34May 11, 2025 7:14 PM

This episode sucked. The dogs in the dog training skit showed more talent than the rest of the cast combined.

by Anonymousreply 35May 11, 2025 7:18 PM

I think because they had Goggins on they figured everybody would watch. All those White Lotus fans. So they didn’t have to focus on the writing as much.

by Anonymousreply 36May 11, 2025 7:28 PM

Still better than the Jon Hamm one.

by Anonymousreply 37May 11, 2025 7:29 PM

I was really hoping for a Met gala sketch. There was so much material there. Oh well.

by Anonymousreply 38May 11, 2025 7:30 PM

When they have to rely on Wickline to be in segments. you know they're in trouble.

by Anonymousreply 39May 11, 2025 8:08 PM

I wish they'd stop trying to make that Jane person happen. Though I will admit she's a bit better in prerecorded sketches than live.

by Anonymousreply 40May 11, 2025 8:18 PM

I think they kind of threw Wickline a bone with that sketch, knowing she won't be back next season.

by Anonymousreply 41May 11, 2025 8:43 PM

R8, I always thought that too. I thought she WAS pregnant for the longest time.

by Anonymousreply 42May 11, 2025 8:46 PM

R8, R42, she gave birth in April so give her a break.
