T. R. Knight
I'm surprised he didn't get better parts after he left Grey's Anatomy. He's appealing looking, and he's a good actor.
Did he get black balled after he asked to be written off the show? I thought he was going to do tons of theater afterwards but he really hasn't done that much--although he's in the new Stranger Things play on Broadway.

The sex tape didn't help, he wasn't the first celeb to bottom, and he won't be the last. I think he's attractive.

He made fuck you money with Grey's and has done what he wanted since.
Lots of theater, apparently. He also had a brief role in another Shonda show.

I always thought he was homely and an average actor. Forgettable, really.

I read he was one of the three finalists for The Book of Mormon but lost the role to Andrew Rannels. (Nick Lachay was the third one.)

He had the face of an obese person when he was of average weight.

He did not make fuck you money. He left $13 million on the table when he quit the show.. I think he was turned off TV acting. He went right into Parade in LA afterwards.

Saw him in the Stranger Things play recently and thought, this just seems like a paycheck kind of role. Perhaps live theater is his happy place.

Are you serious about the sex tape?
Wonder if he thinks he could be clocking in for Season 22, or at least could have been spun off like Private Practice or Station 19. He'd be genuinely wealthy if he'd just hung in a bit longer.

many of those actors had no longevity beyond that show,

I never heard about a sex tape. Link?

I think he went along with Katherine Heigl and blew that Isaiah Washington thing out of proportion.

Katherine Heigl is another forgettable, mediocre actor.

Personally, I think that what these actors fail to realize when they get on these types of shows is that their ship has come in -- get on board ride it to the end. Make your millions, get a good wealth manager, plot out your life. Do whatever you want take care of loved ones And have a good life.

R18 is correct. Unfortunately, their egos grow exponentially, and they think bigger and better opportunities await, so they leave the show prematurely. David Caruso learned this the hard way.

I worked with TR at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis in the mid-90s when he'd just turned Equity. He's from Minneapolis and began acting at the Guthrie as a child. He was enormously talented and charismatic onstage and went on to play many young character roles there, eventually moving to NYC by the early 2000s to continue working in theater.
I think (don't know for sure) what happened - he quickly and luckily got cast in a hit TV series but hated LA and the grind of playing the same character. When he left the series it wasn't with any delusions of grandeur but just the feeling, at such a young age, of being stuck career-wise. Why he's seemingly worked so little, even in theater, since then, I don't know. But he's a good guy and I hope being in Stranger Things on Broadway will help him find his way back to a more satisfying career.
And yes, I do believe he's gay.

He was wonderful in the first B'way revival of NOISES OFF, especially in the curtain speech that Frayn added so that Act 3 could follow Act 2 without an actual intermission.

He had a good recurring role in “The Good Wife” for part of. Season. He was a sneaky campaign worker who kept over teaching Alan Cumming’s “Eli Gold’s” instructions. ….. He was also on a good SVU where he was a good guy arrested for tape. He was totally unaware that he had a twin brother. He played both parts. He was good.

R-18 I agree. There is one celebrity who seems to have minimal talent but has smartly held into the same "lucky gig" for decades.... Vannah White.
I'm not a member of White's fan club but I've always admired that she is astute enough to sticknwith a good thing. Many, many celebrities (with similar lack of talent) would have left Wheel of Fortune years ago with some inane explanation that they no longer felt challenged and wanted to pursue their real love of theater/movies/singing career or some other drivel. They usually fail miserably with the new ventures and wind up selling blenders in a late night infomercial.
