I forgot this show was even on. No one I know watched it.
I guess the original really did become a sensation because of Meghan.
I’ve only ever seen commercials but why is it giving 2000 era vibes with its filming and stylistic choices.

That’s what happens when you miss the entire point of the original. Same thing the Daredevil revival did. You bring back the name but forget what made people care.
Daredevil fans didn’t just want Matt Murdock. They wanted Matt with Foggy and Karen. You can't replace that with new faces and hope for the same spark.
Same with Suits. Nobody was begging to see a new group of associates at a rebranded firm. Fans wanted Harvey, Mike, Donna, Louis, Jessica, Rachel, Katrina, etc.
People wanted those original characters in new situations.
They tried to rebuild the house but forgot the foundation was the cast and they probably didn't want to pay them.
