Sometimes I just get a hankerin' for heaps of that shitty Panda Express chow mein and orange chicken.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 9, 2025 6:52 PM |
Way too much sodium for me. Tastes good and is satisfying, but I pay for it later
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 9, 2025 6:58 PM |
How much did that set you back, OP?
Better question: how long is all that food going to last you?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 9, 2025 7:05 PM |
“not me”
Oh, dear. We don’t use that anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 9, 2025 7:07 PM |
It's nearly 80 bucks near me.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 9, 2025 9:59 PM |
It’s on sale for Mother’s Day weekend.
It’s $30 in some states and $34-$39 in others (NY, CA, etc).
I paid about $37 with pickup because I ordered online and they gave me a $5 off coupon.

You are a whore, darling. A fat one!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 9, 2025 10:44 PM |
FAT WHORES REJOICE!!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 9, 2025 10:44 PM |
Well, depending how piggy you are, you don't have to worry about cooking for a few days. That's a plus in my book!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 9, 2025 10:48 PM |
I hope you will have several left-over meals from this big order.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 9, 2025 10:49 PM |
I just looked at the menu (I'm not that familar with Panda Express; I have real Chinese restaurants to eat at in my city...)
Weird menu. No pork options. No tofu. Not a lot of veg choices. Not many appetizers.
Everything looks fake.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 9, 2025 10:56 PM |
OP, I have something to tell you......
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 9, 2025 10:57 PM |
R11 i live in NYC. I too have “real” Chinese restaurants around me. Doesn’t mean I don’t crave the chainfood Chinese sometimes.
I also have many local pizza places by me, and always have as I grew up in NYC. I didn’t move here in adulthood like you. And sometimes I will still order a Papa John’s or Domino's.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 9, 2025 10:59 PM |
Their orange chicken is great.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 9, 2025 11:00 PM |

How do you say fat whore in Cantonese?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 9, 2025 11:07 PM |
I introduced my brother to Panda Express last year, and he fell in love with their Orange Chicken.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 9, 2025 11:09 PM |
LARDASS!
Lewis Capaldi would be proud of you.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 9, 2025 11:09 PM |
In the early days of Covid, the price was cut to $20 for a time, to get people to buy carryout to keep the restaurants afloat. In my mind, it will always be the $20 meal that now on special is $30. That means I’ll never buy it again since it costs so much more than what I paid previously.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 9, 2025 11:19 PM |
R13 You had me until you said you willingly ordered Papa Johns and Dominos pizzas.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 9, 2025 11:23 PM |
Why anyone would buy this when inexpensive, good Chinese restaurants exist all over the US is beyond me.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 9, 2025 11:29 PM |
One table is not enough!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 9, 2025 11:32 PM |
Why you didn't show your flippers this time?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 9, 2025 11:32 PM |
its an improvement, taken too far. there is no image of the food. just the box. still this an imporovememt over a food pic featuring a withered, hand with too long, crusty looking fingernails.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 9, 2025 11:37 PM |
R13, a lot of NYC university students are Chinese; it's transformed the restaurant scene. It's impossible to find old-fashioned Americanized Chinese food. My sister in law, who just moved here from Florida, was horrified to discover there are food trucks that sell fried chicken feet.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 9, 2025 11:59 PM |
I like the sweet and sour chicken my local restaurant makes.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 10, 2025 12:13 AM |
Ching ching chow chow pancake.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 10, 2025 12:28 AM |
Eating Panda Express turns you into a big fat panda: roly-poly and unfucked.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 10, 2025 12:40 AM |
For me, take-out chicken means Chicken Soo-Guy, Chicken Chow Mein, Peanut Chicken Dumplings, Chicken Won Ton soup. And Chicken Fried Rice with bacon. The leftovers mix well in the microwave for breakfast. More breading than KFC!
Talk later. I am ordering some now... HUSBAND?! YOU HUNGRY?! Then bring me the goddamn menu.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 10, 2025 12:48 AM |
You can get better food at a family-owned stripmall teriyaki place. There's no reason to eat Panda Express unless you live in a shithole where your only options are chain restaurants.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 10, 2025 1:12 AM |
Panda Express is common.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 10, 2025 1:28 AM |
R30 what a stupid comment. They’re all over all the major cities. Why? Because people eat there.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 10, 2025 1:32 AM |
Excuse me- Does the Pander Express deliveah? My ankles are swollen…
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 10, 2025 1:35 AM |
[quote]Well, depending how piggy you are, you don't have to worry about cooking for a few days.
Oh PLEASE R9! We all know that piggy OP snarfed that all down in one sitting.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 10, 2025 1:35 AM |
We have one in our area and I’m no food snob but I’m just not able to cross that threshold. Maybe on the day before martial law goes into effect.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 10, 2025 1:43 AM |
r28 - pandas are actually NOT fat, they have round bodies with very little body fat.
I looked it up the other day because now I keep getting hilarious panda videos falling out trees or rolling around on the ground on my feed, so I wondered if the fat keeps them from getting hurt. Imagine my surprise when I found out they are actually not fat at all. Their round body shape, however, does keep them from being injured from (most) falls from trees.
Back to the previously scheduled junk chinese food thread...
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 10, 2025 2:21 AM |
I succumb to bad Chinese Safeway deli every once in awhile...
And, always regret it.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 10, 2025 2:37 AM |
It sounds revolting, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 10, 2025 2:47 AM |
I once had a very brief affair with a manager of the Chinese hot food section of a grocery store, who I ghosted for several reasons, including that he had a Cabbage Patch doll collection. If he's reading this, I want him to know that I feel bad about it. It wasn't you, it was me.

It's ok to say it was him R39. Not you.

Every once in a while, terrible food like Panda Express just hits the spot.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 10, 2025 3:02 AM |
I used to have the kung pao chicken regularly and even bought the catering size and froze it in small containers Alas, I no longer enjoy the heat and never go there anymore. Enjoy, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 10, 2025 3:08 AM |
r30, that's what gets me. Even in those shitholes, you often have a few mom and pop Chinese places. There is no need to go to Panda Express. It makes no sense to me.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 10, 2025 3:19 AM |
#r42 George likes spicy Kung Pao Chicken
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 10, 2025 3:26 AM |
These lard buckets go to Panda Express because it claims to serve AMERICAN Chinese food. That's its USP - hence dishes like 'orange chicken' which you wouldn't find in a non Americanised place.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 10, 2025 4:33 AM |
The family meal only comes with two egg rolls and one dessert, or were those add-ons?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 10, 2025 4:42 AM |
add ons
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 10, 2025 5:48 AM |
Panda Express is so fucking hit or miss for me. Sometimes that shit hits the SPOT, nigga. But sometimes it does NOT.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 10, 2025 5:57 AM |
I've never been to Panda Express, but I understand the occasional craving for trashy food. Plus you'd pay a lot more for all that at any other Chinese restaurant.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | May 10, 2025 5:59 AM |
OP, you type annoying
by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 10, 2025 6:22 AM |
The Panda Express on Fillmore and Geary in SF is the worst..

Disgusting Gen-Z speak. And OP is 59.
