Have you ever been part of a movie or television show?

I was just curious if anyone has ever been a part of the television or movie making process? I’ve always found the process so interesting and would love to hear your stories and behind the scenes info.

As a child in the 50s, I was on some treehouse children's show in Chicago for an episode.

I was an extra in The Babe with John Goodman. The Fenway scenes were shot at the ballpark in my hometown.

Detroit Rock City was filmed at my high-school

I was on Romper Room.

I never saw it, though.

I did one day of extra work on maybe 10 films through the years. Extra work is boring and you're treating like cattle. Phones have probably made the waits easier.

As an extra once in a short-lived network police drama, I was fascinated how a nighttime shot in a house was lit to give the appearance of a daytime scene.

I was an extra on many movies with Julia Roberts, Richard Dreyfuss, Glenn Close and TV shows. They nevet took place at studios but on location. Way too much waiting around. Phones would have been a big help back then. I love visiting actual movie studios, the nostalgia, the buzz, the curiosity.

[quote]Way too much waiting around.

Which is why many actors prefer the stage.
