My friend is missing
This is serious, and it’s hard to believe it’s happening. Chris is one of the wittiest, most charismatic people I’ve ever met—definitely Datalounge material. The authorities and the media have been notified, and we’re doing everything we can to find him.
While we know he was using Grindr, their strict privacy policies prevent us from accessing any info. Just to be clear, this isn’t about asking for money from strangers—it’s about bringing Chris home.
If anyone has seen him or knows anything, please reach out. Anything could help.

Could he have been secretly depressed, OP? Witty people tend to hide that sort of thing surprisingly well. I know from personal experience.

I hope you find him soon. Could the authorities access his Grindr info & other phone/email info? Maybe the FBI?
