Why didn’t Senor Wences have more leading man roles?
Shocked to see that he was never in a major film. Was this because Hollyweird/the fake news media discriminated against ventriloquists at the time?
They could have just had a leading lady who had a small person growing from her fist too. Problem solved.

I love, love, love doing my Señor Wences impression when I'm giving a hand job.

Senor Wences molested my hand puppet.

Because it appears that Wences would smear his hand puppet’s face with faeces!

His left hand contracted herpes.

When I was a kid, he was already a relic. I thought the puppet was Senor Wences. I was so uninformed on this subject matter.

Gabe Caplan's standup routine mentioned him, and his litte homosexual mouse.

Topo Gigio was not his, and was Italian.

His act really creeped me out when I was a kid.

Actually r8, Wences owned his own mouse who was gay and proud. His name was Angel and he lived in Palm Springs.

My family and I all loved Senor Wences on The Ed Sullivan Show. I think he was on Ed Sullivan frequently because he literally lived around the block from the theater!
I think his act is brilliant. He lived to be 103 years old.

R12 “Kiss me goodnight, Eddy!” Boy, that was one desperate gay mouse.

The hand puppet wasn't exactly calming, either.

I think he had a dark side.

Topo Gigio is still going strong on Italian television. He's on a kids show together with a transvestite.

I loved Topo; he melted my heart! The head in the box, the first puppet. Senor Wences was imaginative and FUNNY!

Everyone watched the Ed Sullivan show. The hallmark of his series was the first tv appearance of The Beatles. You had to have experienced it to realize how life changing that was.

Senor Wences was offered many important leading man roles, including ones that eventually went to Lee Marvin (Cat Ballou), Rock Hudson (Ice Station Zebra) and Cliff Robertson (Charly).
But a wise Gary Morton talked him out of accepting them.
