Who would y’all say is the hottest sitcom dad? I’ve always been partial to Phil Dunphy, personality and looks. Also wouldn’t hesitate to blow Al Bundy, Michael Bluth or Ted Lasso if they asked me. On a more controversial and less conventional note I have a thing for Jack Geller, Murray Goldberg and Red Foreman.
Fred Flintstone

I'm so old, Bill Bixby in Courtship of Eddie's Father.
But, yeah, Al Bundy was hot.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 8, 2025 6:01 PM |
David Sutcliffe played the dad in “Gilmore Girls“, but before that he was in the film “Testosterone”.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 8, 2025 6:05 PM |
Carl Betz! The Donna Reed Show. Hands down.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 8, 2025 6:07 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 8, 2025 6:19 PM |
R11 cant be really considered a sitcom dad. GG was not really a sitcom for startes, and he was a recurring character. That
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 8, 2025 6:24 PM |
I was gonna post Carl Betz but figured he was too old for anyone here to know who he was.
R12, thanks for the validation!

Not a sitcom, but Don Draper can't go without mention.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 8, 2025 6:35 PM |
Never watched Modern Family much but Phil Dunphy is definitely a big DILF and so is Ted Lasso.
And Bryan Cranston's Hal on Malcolm in the Middle was Phil Dunphy before Phil existed.

R25 my mouth is wide open
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 8, 2025 6:40 PM |
Hal did it for me. I had such a crush on him.
When he was on Howard Stern, you can surmise from his interview that his sexuality was fluid.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 8, 2025 6:41 PM |
Forgot to mention - Mike Heck from the middle
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 8, 2025 6:42 PM |
Robert Reed in his pre-perm Mr. Brady days was hot as fuck.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 8, 2025 6:44 PM |
It wasn't necessarily a sitcom, but Brian Kelly as the dad in "Flipper" made my young gay loins stir.

R34 let’s say im an opportunist. So no
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 8, 2025 6:58 PM |
Why are so many people saying Al Bundy? Remember, we are talking characters, not actors. He smelled bad. I remember everytime he would take his shoes off, someone would faint or a bird would drop dead from the sky.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 8, 2025 7:01 PM |
R36 I can hold my breath

R38 ITA. There were some shirtless photos of Hugh on a recent thread about him and he was pretty hot.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 8, 2025 7:28 PM |
I used to like Charles Shaughnessy, who played daddy Maxwell Sheffield on "The Nanny."
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 8, 2025 7:37 PM |
The only time I found Sam McMurray sexy was when he played one of Francesca's dads.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 8, 2025 7:46 PM |
Tony Danza in Who's the Boss....by a MILE.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 8, 2025 8:01 PM |
OK, this sounds weird but I have a mild crush on Andrew Scott, who is not a sitcom dad. But I was recently watching "I Love Lucy" and Scott has the same facial structure, hair, and dark eyes as Desi Arnaz. I can't get the similarity out of my head. (I watch/listen to Pluto TV when I can't sleep.) So it's Ricky Ricardo, but only as Scott's doppelganger.

Dermot Morgan. Not a dad, but a Father nonetheless.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 8, 2025 8:36 PM |
Robert Reed had dreamy blue eyes. Would love to have gotten lost in them while blowing him. Ahhhhhhh
by Anonymous | reply 52 | May 8, 2025 8:39 PM |
[quote]R14 I really thought Greg Evigan from My Two Dads was hot back then.
I met him at a party a decade ago and he was incredibly nice. He has several kids and I bet they adore him. He just seemed kind and easygoing.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | May 8, 2025 8:43 PM |
Greg Evigan from My Two Dads was my first pick.
I'll add Jason Bateman in Arrested Development. Michael was the 'straight man of the family and totally fuckable.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | May 8, 2025 9:12 PM |
Dick Van Dyke was like Ray Bolger in that they could do choreography like this and look goofy and gangly but not gay.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | May 8, 2025 9:14 PM |
[quote] Alan Thicke as Jason Seaver on Growing Pains
Packing in the meat department. He was once very briefly shown adjusting his Speedo, like push-up jockstrap on Battle of the Network Stars. Big shoulders and hairy torso. I've looked for it on Youtube but no such luck.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | May 8, 2025 9:33 PM |
[quote] was gonna post Carl Betz but figured he was too old for anyone here to know who he was.
AYK? Most DLers were born before network television was established.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | May 8, 2025 10:19 PM |
The fat dad from Young Sheldon. He has a very cute face, but should probably drop 50lbs. I'd still do him. Hes more cute and cuddly than hot, though.
For hotness, I'll say Benjamin Bratt as Manny's dad on Modern Family. He was in five or six episodes so I'm counting him.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | May 9, 2025 12:09 AM |
R60, it was called “Star Games” which was a weekly knockoff of “Battle”.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | May 9, 2025 12:24 AM |
Tim Allen in Home Improvement.
Paul Reiser in My Two Dads. I wanted that moose knuckle in me so bad.

Doug Sheehan was gorgeous.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | May 9, 2025 12:59 AM |
Bob Uecker. I always imagine that he smells of having just smoked a pack of camels much like pretty much all of the men my mom dated or married so I don't know what the hell that says about me or my taste in men given all of her many boyfriends, one night stands and husbands were pretty much complete trash.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | May 9, 2025 1:07 AM |
Al Bundy but also be right there at the top of the list along with Hayden from coach.

by Anonymous | reply 76 | May 9, 2025 2:10 AM |
Sean Finnerty, Grounded for Life
by Anonymous | reply 77 | May 9, 2025 2:14 AM |
Evigan was indeed one of the most beautiful men on TV for many years, but sadly it was all above the waste. Those super tight jeans he always wore belied the fact that he had absolutely the most micro of micro meat.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | May 9, 2025 2:24 AM |
Jason Bateman as Michael Bluth in Arrested Development.

How about some love for Guy Williams (Lost In Space), Toby Stephens (Lost In Space reboot), or John Stamos (Grandfathered),
by Anonymous | reply 91 | May 9, 2025 3:01 AM |
I dont think the lost in space reboot was a comedy. More of an action drama. But Stephen's was hot.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | May 9, 2025 3:08 AM |
Not a sitcom but a dad, John Forsythe.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | May 9, 2025 3:31 AM |
The original Lost in Space was not a sitcom either.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | May 9, 2025 3:31 AM |
Oh, wait. He was on a sitcom, Bachelor Father.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | May 9, 2025 3:39 AM |
Of course it was a comedy since his daughters were named Princess and Kitten.
by Anonymous | reply 96 | May 9, 2025 3:41 AM |
Yup, Hugh Fcuking Beaumont for the win!
by Anonymous | reply 97 | May 9, 2025 3:44 AM |
R95 Yes, but he wasn't the father. (He was an uncle.)
He WAS a father on "To Rome With Love."
R96 That was "Father Knows Best."
by Anonymous | reply 98 | May 9, 2025 3:44 AM |
West Wing was often hilarious so Jed Bartlett is the answer.

Bartlet*
by Anonymous | reply 100 | May 9, 2025 4:26 AM |
Jesse from Full House. John Stamos might be a maga suckass, but Jesse was hot.
And Fernando Guerrero from Fuller House. Juan Pablo Di Pace is a hottie.
by Anonymous | reply 101 | May 9, 2025 5:09 AM |
Yes, R65. I remember seeing Thicke dive into the pool in his Speedo. I didn’t see the adjustment moment though, darn it.

If we're talking about past and present I would like to offer Clark Gregg from "The New Adventures Of Old Christine". I've always found a fit man who embraces his receding hairline to be quite sexy.
