Didn’t you hear? He doesn’t like the “homosexual lifestyle.” He is no doubt pure as the driven snow in a Chicago winter.

I bet there's still some boy brownie under his fingernails.

I'll bet he was a regular at Man's Country.

"he's high class, only went to steam works"
Did they ever clean that nacreous layer of permacum off the giant hot tub walls?

He has a pissy, Samuel Alito like expression on his face.

He's an Augustinian, succeeding a Jesuit as Pope. Are the Augustinians knows to be conservative?

Born on the south side of Chicago. Maybe his BF is Bad Bad Leroy Brown.

Vergogna! Vergogna! Vergogna!
Take back that comment or you'll see my flag unfurled at your house. Don't try me!

Homosexuals? My STARS, no!
I don't drink (no) or swear (oh)
I don't rat my hair!
I get ill from one cigarette (ah-ah-eww)
Keep your filthy paws off my silky robes
Would you pull that crap with Bernadette (Ratzinger)?

The people of Chicago are going to be even more insufferable now.

This whole Pope business has lost its luster

R1, is that true? I was hoping for another progressive.

Not considered progressive on LGBTQ+ rights: Prevost has previously expressed views that are not in line with the progressive stance on LGBTQ+ rights.
More conservative on LGBTQ+ issues: He has been described as having a more conservative position on LGBTQ+ matters compared to Francis.
Concerns about "sympathy for beliefs and practices at odds with the gospel": In 2012, Prevost expressed concerns about media and culture fostering sympathy for beliefs and practices that are not in accordance with the gospel, including the "homosexual lifestyle" and alternative family structures.
Not fully supportive of blessings for same-sex couples: Prevost has opposed Francis's 2023 ruling allowing blessings for same-sex couples.

Need for greater conversations: In October 2024, Prevost called for more conversations among episcopal conferences to discuss blessings and align them with cultural differences, recognizing that some countries still criminalize homosexuality.

Apparently a fuckton of Chicago Catholics knew him, and he was a substitute teacher so a number of them of a certain age are saying they were taught by him (or sent to detention by him!)

But not my faaaaabulous wardrobe and jewelry!

He chose the triumphalist name Leo, he's a dogmatic conservative, he softsoaps Church child abuse after keeping a perve priest in a rectory after his crimes were admitted, and lectures the fuckers in the WH in a double-game, because he would applaud gay rights being stolen back.
They picked a sly fake who will be Benedict again but who will be around for 20+ years, because he'll never resign. And a fucking Augustinian to boot: "imperatives of affection and fairness." They're the ones who say, "I love you as a child of God but it's only fair I send you to a camp for your kind." And a missionary, showing all those brown people how to do things the right, Catholic, way.

He doesn't like Trump or Vance.

I grew up in Chicago. Every priest I met was either a closet case or a drink or both. I did have one memorable encounter in a rectum in a rectory on the South Side—but with Leontyne.

Leo XIII was a champion of social justice and wrote Rerum Novarum about the rights of workers. Some Augustinians are conservative but I doubt this one is.
