If that queen filming his jaunt around her home is employed by Madonna I'm sure he is no longer.

Surprisingly cluttered. I wasn't expecting her to have so many books, photos and knickknacks.

As a viewer, I felt like we were doing something illegal - I got anxiety from it.

Then at the end you see Madona just sitting in the bathroom as usual saying Hi.

So it was her idea - but it was still cool. Nice stuff - not crazy - a good mix.

If she could only dress with as much constraint as her interior design.

Madonna is a very wealthy woman because she had business smarts.

R7 - she also had great advisors. She was steered toward buying art in the mid-late 80s, including quite a few Frida Kahlos and a lot of modernists.

She's one of the top 100 collectors. There's a whole Wiki about her art - exhibits she supported, artworks she purchased, artists and collaborations she's worked with.

This part of her life is not well known. Of course this talks about her own artwork in her career.

It’s amazing watching interviews of Madonna in the 90s and how astute and engaging she was. She always came across as comfortable in her own skin. Not now. She can’t even speak now. She’s always got a stick up her ass and sounds mentally retarded. I can’t think of anyone in the public eye who mentally regressed as she has. It’s weird.

Once their initial thrill of "Omg, you're Madonna!" wears off, she dumps them and finds herself a new batch. Well, they find her. Megastars need that kind of adulation or they forget they're stars, a fate worse than death. Kinda like the gods in American Gods.

Also, speaking of Gwyneth, I was re-watching the second season of “The Comeback” with Lisa Kudrow and there is a scene where her old producer Jane has her front door propped open with her Best Documentary Short Oscar. I think that’s where Gwyneth got that idea.

Looks small and unimpressive.

I thought Madonna was lighting up a bong. I like her house- even though there is a lot of art, it doesn't look like a sterile museum, you could actually be comfortable sitting in any of those rooms.

Ugly, austere, depressing, and not a place anyone actually "lives". Looks more like a place the old broad just maintains for photo shoots and an occasional overnight stay when she's in town.

She really does live there full time. I used to live a block away at 81st and Madison and walked by it every day. Saw her Escalade tank leaving the garage many times.

It's also not an apartment it's two houses joined together. She pissed off a lot of the neighbors when the city allowed her to create a NO PARKING zone in front of it.

I love it. It looks like she actually lives there and enjoys it.

Too much clutter

I like it, but I'm a fan of the minimalist look. Unlike many DLers who are prisspots and adore clutter and all of Mother's antiques everywhere.

There’s another video showing off her closet. What is wrong with her teeth? She can’t speak. She recently went overseas to a dentist. She has a lisp and she isn’t even wearing the grillz. Maybe they damaged her teeth. It’s weird.

I remember back in her heyday she saw a house in Florida that she wanted to buy and told the owners. They said it's not for sale but I guess she made them an extraordinary offer because it became hers.

She has black high gloss interior doors and dark wood floors like our house. Good taste Madonna!

I know she has a Picasso and several Frida Kahlo paintings. They must be in her other houses or in storage. They also could be in her bedroom or other parts of the house.

Basquiat, Haring, Kahlo, Picasso, Holzer, Dali, Kusama... all very "childish" indeed. And quite embarrassing.

Why can't she display real art by real artists like Ansel Adams or Thomas Kinkade?

Probably not that much, r55. The most expensive Basquiat went for 110M and that was a giant, very striking painting with lots of different colors.

She got those Kahlos back in the 80s before Kahlo became a "thing." They were much, much, much less $$$ than they would be now. An incredibly smart investment.

Her Basquiat is a self portrait and very personal. You’d be surprised what a minimalist painting will go for. Especially tied to the most successful female artist of all time. He painted it for Madonna.

I think I saw a Tamara de Lempicka on one of the walls. The artist was heavily featured in her Open Your Heart Video.
