Trump’s ICE Agents Raid Restaurant Owned by CBS News Anchor Norah O'Donnell’s Husband
Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents raided multiple restaurants in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, including one owned by the husband of CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell.
Chef Geoff’s, an American eatery founded by O’Donnell’s husband Geoff Tracy, had its Northwest D.C. location near American University raided by nearly a dozen ICE agents.
“There was no one detained or arrested that I’ve heard of but regardless of that fact, disrupting food service during lunch hours while restaurants are open is alarming,” he said. “There is a sense of fear… Immigrants make up a large amount of workers in our restaurants in the district.

What was Biden’s reasoning for not going full throttle in holding Trump accountable?
Did any reporter ever ask Biden about his pledge to be a one-term president? He ran on that.
Back on topic: I went to grad school at American University and Chef Geoff’s was our after-workshop hangout (there are very few businesses in that immediate area so it has a little bit of a monopoly). It’s a nice place and well liked by the community. Excellent burgers. My go-to there is their mushroom ravioli which is sublime. Classy place but also neighborhoody. This is very fucked up. I’m sure Trump knows how loathed he is there. And everywhere here.

R33 [quote] They did not seem to give a fuck.
Yeah, they didn't give a fuck so much that Biden stepped aside and Harris campaigned tirelessly and relentlessly to win.
Biden followed our Constitution and let the DOJ handle the Trump prosecutions, unlike Trump, who is directing the DOJ. If you can fault Biden for anything, it was his appointment of the useless Merrick Garland as Attorney General. But it was Garland - not Biden, not Harris - who fumbled on getting Trump locked up.

This is approaching a weird split in how Americans view immigration,
The country needs the workers, but doesn’t want to admit that. It also wants these workers to have as little stability and comfort as possible, which is why the door to legal immigration is only opened a sliver (which keeps getting more narrow).
We essentially have exactly the immigration policy we want, but won’t admit to having. Take the cheap labor, but keep them scared and vulnerable and disposable.
