Sure, saving energy makes NO SENSE to Republicans since they are funded heavily by the hydrocarbon crowd.

It may not matter. Most Americans won't be able to pay the tariffs on appliances, most of which are manufactured overseas. Or, even if they are assembled here, the parts and materials are mostly imported. People will just keep what they have, if they still work, until Trump is out of office.

The US (and the rest of the world) has spent decades trying to build better and more energy efficient ways for machines to work with less energy, and Trump is doing what they can to to roll it all back.

Americans don't care about efficiency or the environment or other people. They only care about their immediate convenience and are willing to look the other way to all sorts of unbelievable brutality to maintain it.
