Pamela Anderson showed up at the 2025 Met Gala looking so unrecognizable

Sure, she's 57 and time changes everyone—but this wasn’t just aging. It was like seeing a completely different person.

by Anonymousreply 85May 9, 2025 4:33 AM

She looks like a evangelical prairie wife out for a night on the town.

by Anonymousreply 1May 7, 2025 8:04 AM

Aw she cut her hair.

by Anonymousreply 2May 7, 2025 8:06 AM

She’s making no effort to appeal to the masses.

Everything from the Dress to the no makeup makeup to the “I cut my own hair” Prince Valiant Bob is chosen to align herself with the coolest of the cool. Art world people, indie film people, the kind of fashion people who make those huge lavish magazines that only get sold in specialty stores in NYC.

If the acting thing fizzles out she might get Anna winters job

None of this is a dig. I love that she is wholeheartedly rejecting every convention of real housewives styling.

It’s long past time the culture moved past that and got more chic again.

by Anonymousreply 3May 7, 2025 8:10 AM

I'm seeing Judy Dench.

by Anonymousreply 4May 7, 2025 8:15 AM

Maybe it was just Fake Pamela.

by Anonymousreply 5May 7, 2025 8:51 AM

She looks insidious.

by Anonymousreply 6May 7, 2025 8:54 AM

She wearing plenty of makeup. Foundation, blush, lips, eyebrows. She's just not wearing the excess of eye makeup she used to wear (black liner, black shadow and false lashes).

It's a pity because there is a way to do this and make a statement AND to make the most of her looks but she's not doing it. She's wasting her looks.

The weird hairdo with those short bangs do her no favor.

She looks like a mash of Michelle Williams and Patricia Arquette.

by Anonymousreply 10May 7, 2025 9:33 AM

[quote]The weird hairdo with those short bangs do her no favor.

It's a terrible hairdo. I understand her not wanting to go "full makeup and long hair" anymore, but getting a flattering haircut isn't much effort and would help a lot.

by Anonymousreply 11May 7, 2025 9:41 AM

She looks like Mia Farrow.

by Anonymousreply 12May 7, 2025 9:51 AM

She's always been kind of odd.

by Anonymousreply 13May 7, 2025 10:05 AM

She looks good like this. If I saw her in the food co-op, I would be stunned by her beauty.

by Anonymousreply 14May 7, 2025 4:29 PM

She looked best in her pixie cut years ago.

Now this just feels like a prolonged stunt. Good for you for reclaiming your persona and not being seen as just this blonde bimbo. BUT - we get it already. There's nothing wrong with looking your best at 57 - and she's not.

She's purposefully unglamorizing herself to her detriment at this point. Message received - now can we get some sort of respectable middle ground? Nobody wants to see you walking around like that hoochie Mariah Carey - but it's the extremes that is frustrating.

by Anonymousreply 15May 7, 2025 4:43 PM

Bullet bra?

by Anonymousreply 16May 7, 2025 4:43 PM

She now looks like a Tribeca gallery owner.

by Anonymousreply 17May 7, 2025 4:53 PM

She looks great, like an older Swedish movie star. Too bad about the eyebrows, though.

by Anonymousreply 18May 7, 2025 4:56 PM

Good for her. That face at r7 is a pretty character actor's face. She doesn't look like a former Baywatch bimbo.

by Anonymousreply 19May 7, 2025 4:56 PM

Glam it up just a bit particularly at a big gala.

by Anonymousreply 20May 7, 2025 6:22 PM

I think she works at the Aldis near me.

by Anonymousreply 21May 7, 2025 6:27 PM

Like Mia Farrow in a Lizzo suit.

by Anonymousreply 22May 7, 2025 6:29 PM

That dress was terrible on her. Matronly, widening, hefty fabric, her pointy robotic breasts- wrong color - she needs more neutral tones. The haircut is horrible, too. Her face looked good but she overall, didn't.

by Anonymousreply 23May 7, 2025 6:31 PM

The eyebrows look horrible. I guess they're not recoverable.

by Anonymousreply 24May 7, 2025 6:42 PM

Facially, she looks like Jon Voight's twin.

by Anonymousreply 25May 7, 2025 6:53 PM

I love it. As said, shame about the eyebrows. Otherwise, very refreshing to see a 57-year-old who isn't pumped full of fillers.

by Anonymousreply 26May 7, 2025 6:55 PM

[quote]The weird hairdo with those short bangs do her no favor.

I actually think it's youthful, r8.

by Anonymousreply 27May 7, 2025 6:59 PM

Is she wearing foundation? Her skin tone seems awfully uneven if she is.

Also, that hair reads like a wig to me.

by Anonymousreply 28May 7, 2025 7:11 PM

She looks like she should be dating Keanu Reeves.

by Anonymousreply 29May 7, 2025 7:28 PM

R28 Let's hope it is a wig.

by Anonymousreply 30May 7, 2025 7:28 PM

R15 - a prolonged stunt - that’s it! I no eye makeup thing had run it’s course. Unless she was lighting her stove and her eyelashes blew off and won’t grow back - if you are going to a ball - to quote my mother - “Don’t leave the house without your eye pencil!!” I’m a 59 year old blonde woman. My hair is going white so I have to figure out what I’m going to do. I stopped wearing makeup all of the time years ago. I won’t “put my eyes on” to run errands, go to the store or even have lunch with friends. This is going to sound weird - but if I was going to a dinner party, the theatre or a wedding - it would feel sort of disrespectful to not put on my basic “Face.”

by Anonymousreply 31May 7, 2025 7:59 PM

LOVE her and her new non-makeup and banged hairdo look....but that dress was hideous. It looked like she walked inside a sculpture made for some bigger woman.

by Anonymousreply 32May 7, 2025 8:02 PM

And that, r31, is...*you*.

by Anonymousreply 33May 7, 2025 8:02 PM

It's obvious she's not getting any dick.

by Anonymousreply 34May 7, 2025 8:04 PM

#r33 You are right. I don’t have the self confidence that she does. Good for her.

by Anonymousreply 35May 7, 2025 8:09 PM

I fucking love everything about it.

[quote]She wearing plenty of makeup.

Nobody said she wasn't wearing makeup. You're getting yourself worked up to have an argumeent over nothing.

by Anonymousreply 36May 7, 2025 8:10 PM

She looks like Kim Stanley.

by Anonymousreply 37May 7, 2025 8:12 PM

R35 - self-confidence or media trick? Feels like the latter now.

Every pic of her is accompanied with 'former sex symbol Pam is looking demure and fresh-faced with little makeup and...blah blah blah".

And it works - hell, I want to see what she looks like and will click.

I really liked her in The Last Showgirl - she was good. But her main drawback is that helium high-pitched voice - it just doesn't work for serious acting. Comedy, sure.

Anyway - alright Pam - we get it - now let's move on to a more suitable mature actress look with beauty and some curves. Looks like someone took the town whore to church.

by Anonymousreply 38May 7, 2025 8:23 PM

Is her dress made of mesh?

by Anonymousreply 39May 7, 2025 8:31 PM

Welcome to the world of no makeup, OP.

by Anonymousreply 40May 7, 2025 8:41 PM

Jetsons hair

by Anonymousreply 41May 7, 2025 8:58 PM

That haircut is God awful.

by Anonymousreply 42May 7, 2025 9:12 PM

She looks fine

by Anonymousreply 43May 7, 2025 9:26 PM

She looks fine but this is indeed a stunt, and one that is also fully centered on her looks and make-up and clothes, something completely superficial. Instead of actually doing some serious acting, something she is incapable of doing.

by Anonymousreply 44May 7, 2025 9:30 PM

For reference - this was her LAST YEAR at the 2024 gala. Compare and contrast.

You can't tell me it's not a PR stunt.

by Anonymousreply 45May 7, 2025 9:38 PM

This whole look would be better if she just had eyebrows.

by Anonymousreply 46May 7, 2025 9:44 PM

She was married to Tommy Lee so you know there was a lot of heavy partying and that can take a toll on a face later in life.

by Anonymousreply 47May 7, 2025 9:48 PM

So also was overexposed to the sun during Baywatch which doesn't help. She looks better than I would expect.

by Anonymousreply 48May 7, 2025 9:53 PM

The gown is avant-garde in silhouette. It's supposed to be edgy and weird. The kind of pretentious art fashion crap that Sarah Paulson lives for.

by Anonymousreply 49May 7, 2025 9:57 PM

“I want the Urban Outfitters meets coastal grandma look!”

by Anonymousreply 50May 7, 2025 9:59 PM

She can’t cope with aging so she’s trying to make herself look as unattractive as possible

by Anonymousreply 51May 7, 2025 10:04 PM

The Mamie Eisenhower bangs are not flattering.

She really needs some mascara and eyeliner to make her eyes pop.

by Anonymousreply 52May 7, 2025 10:10 PM

All this back and forth but R51 nailed it.

She's old and washed up and men don't want her anymore.

by Anonymousreply 53May 7, 2025 10:13 PM

The bangs are crooked. It's all a gimmick to generate a buzz. She looks like shit.

by Anonymousreply 54May 7, 2025 10:14 PM

R51 - she looked pretty great in the link last year at R45. Same event, 12 months apart.

This is on purpose. And I don't understand why she's going for a more avant-garde look - she just doesn't have the body or the persona for stuff like that. She's not edgy.

by Anonymousreply 55May 7, 2025 10:39 PM

"I'm seeing Judy Dench."

I can't even see her in a mirror!

by Anonymousreply 56May 7, 2025 10:46 PM

I get it.

by Anonymousreply 57May 7, 2025 10:46 PM

She’s looked like this for awhile

by Anonymousreply 58May 7, 2025 11:30 PM

She spent so much of her life having to look hot let her not worry about her looks

by Anonymousreply 59May 7, 2025 11:32 PM

But she is worrying about her looks. This dressed-down look takes effort.

by Anonymousreply 60May 7, 2025 11:42 PM

I agree with r3. I like it.

by Anonymousreply 61May 7, 2025 11:45 PM

I do not think she looks beautiful. She looks like a retired teacher. She has always had bad taste and style. She seems nice and she was gorgeous when young—mostly due to an amazing smile. I’m surprised she hasn’t married again.

by Anonymousreply 62May 7, 2025 11:48 PM

[quote]r62 = I do not think she looks beautiful. She looks like a retired teacher.

Maybe she'll get a nomination for playing a retired teacher. She's actually suited for more roles now.

by Anonymousreply 63May 8, 2025 12:21 AM

[quote]r60 = But she is worrying about her looks.

Or she's showing she has more than *one* look.

by Anonymousreply 64May 8, 2025 12:23 AM

She should follow up her Connecticut "Camino Real" with "The Corn is Green" on Broadway and get that EGOT ball rolling.

by Anonymousreply 65May 8, 2025 12:25 AM

I like that she wears minimal makeup, but that hair is awful. I hope it's a wig.

by Anonymousreply 66May 8, 2025 12:43 AM

I love Pam. I love that she is revealing her eccentricities and stepping outside the box these days. She's so much smarter, self-educated and well-rounded than people ever gave her credit for. I love her Menopausal Era. She's just a joy.

Pam looked so sensational last year!! The 2024 Met Gala theme was "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." So if she showed up looking like a Disney princess, that's why.

With a theme such as 2025's "Black Dandyism" you're getting an invitation to present a more hyperbolic, absurdist or surrealist sartorial statement. The designers and stylists start working on these looks months in advance and Anna approves all the looks in advance. Pam's designer was Tory Burch, and I assume she gave Ms. Burch, a very famous and successful designer, a wide berth. One can imagine that there will be other themes in the future that will welcome a more classic look from Pammy.

I will also say, I like her bob, but it will look a million times better when we get to see it paired with a cute 60s shift instead of this Rosie the Robot constructed gown.

by Anonymousreply 67May 8, 2025 12:53 AM

The Met Gala duds are supposed to make a statement. They're not supposed to be safe.

by Anonymousreply 68May 8, 2025 12:57 AM

She reminds me of my mom in her new era I like her

by Anonymousreply 69May 8, 2025 1:03 AM

Who is she currently dating?

by Anonymousreply 70May 8, 2025 1:07 AM

You're damned if you do, damned if you don't.

by Anonymousreply 71May 8, 2025 1:08 AM

She talks about her new look.

by Anonymousreply 72May 8, 2025 1:10 AM

Not a wig.

by Anonymousreply 73May 8, 2025 1:13 AM

[quote] I do not think she looks beautiful. She looks like a retired teacher.

Retired teachers can be beautiful. The sparse, un-penciled eyebrows and lack of mascara at a formal event is attention seeking and the forehead lines are unusual in the Botox era but ,overall, she is exceptionally attractive for her age.

But her look (at the Met gala and at other events over the last year) is costume-y and comes across as a little fake.

by Anonymousreply 74May 8, 2025 1:33 AM

The Met look criticism isn't about looking safe or unsafe. It's about it not fitting her body properly.

by Anonymousreply 75May 8, 2025 3:31 AM

the fit looks extremely intentional and intentionally awkward.

by Anonymousreply 76May 8, 2025 3:40 AM

I think Pamela looks great, in a League of German Girls way. She succeeds with it because she has perfect bone structure, huge eyes, and decent lips. Pamela was beautiful to begin with, so she looks great at 57. The current look is just that, her look right now. Still, she is lovely.

Compare Pamela to the future Mrs Bezos below, who is of a similar age. Pamela looks so much younger. Sánchez's look screams overaged sex symbol. Scroll down to see what Sánchez thinks going makeup-free is. But then 27-year-old Lauren did not look like 27-year-old Pamela Anderson either.

Her son is determined to gaslight the public into believing that his mother is anything more than a blond bimbo.

by Anonymousreply 78May 8, 2025 4:45 AM

Short bangs do no one any good.

by Anonymousreply 79May 8, 2025 4:55 AM

R74 except that she is not a retired teacher. This woman was considered the most beautiful, sexy woman in the world for decades. She could definitely look worse, but she looks very plain in these pics.

by Anonymousreply 80May 8, 2025 11:56 AM

[quote]She can’t cope with aging so she’s trying to make herself look as unattractive as possible

I don't think she's aiming to be unattractive, just more simple and plain looking, and I think it's to get more serious roles. She was never going to be considered for Williamstown, for example (which she's doing this summer) if she continued to play up her blonde bombshell persona.

She wants age-appropriate, semi-serious roles for an actress in her 50s, this is kind of the look to present for that. She needed to counteract the endless images of her with bleached hair, big boobs and harlot makeup that permeate everyone's mind.

by Anonymousreply 81May 8, 2025 4:53 PM

She'd like to be like Liv Ullmann, but Ullmann always radiated intelligence, confidence, and strength. Anderson will never have her presence or gravitas.

by Anonymousreply 82May 8, 2025 7:34 PM

I think she looks very pretty.

by Anonymousreply 83May 8, 2025 9:07 PM

Of course DLers would find this look appealing. They love any masculine or frumpy women's looks.

"She should get a bob" is the common refrain for any woman over 40, no matter how aging or unappealing it is.

What better than a bowl cut for a former bimbo?

by Anonymousreply 84May 8, 2025 10:08 PM

Women of a certain age look best in age-appropriate hairstyles. Long extensions, fish lips, botox, puffed up cheeks on older women is aging. (It's even aging on Kylie Jenner.)
