The biggest issue here is, Modi has claimed the water treaty doesn’t work anymore and India will not honor it. Terrorist attacks are one thing, but Pakistan absolutely depends on the Indus water and if the Indians renege on the treaty there absolutely will be war.

So in previous decades, U.S. presidents have helped defuse these crises, with varying levels of success. Thank goodness we have a serious, augusf statesman in the White House who will keep the conflict from going out of control. 🤦🏻‍♂️
