LOL - if a near extinction level event happened, the last people I'd want in a bunker with me would be rich entitled people.

I'd want doctors, engineers, biologists, chemists, mechanics (who can fix stuff like air filtration, water purification), botanists who are growing the food using growing lights, computer experts who could maintain the computers which would contain the sum total of human knowledge.

The "rich and powerful" would have no money in a bunker - and power is relative.

This Fitts woman is notoriously crazy. She did serve in the Bush White House and she was apparently more or less normal then, but at some point she must have had some mental break and she's been making increasingly bizarre claims over the past few years. She's obviously just looking for attention now (as is Tucker).

There has been talk of these places for years. Not actually a secret -the way I heard it is you have spend tens of millions to "buy in." That gets you access to special transportation and an early-warning notice, providing the catastrophe gives some warning.

Maybe the old dear is talking about Barbra's shopping mall.

This kinda reminds me of the movie "Deep Impact", in which the government set up a lottery for selected individuals to take shelter on an underground ark in Missouri.
