Which generation do you hold most responsible for inflicting the most damage on this once great country of ours, and why?
Who was the most selfish generation

How many fucking threads are there going to be on generation blaming? Take responsibility for yourself and stop whining.

Gen X should be winning this by a mile. Gen X seems to escape all the criticism directed towards boomers, millennials and Gen Z.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 6, 2025 12:31 PM |
Gen X-er here. At least boomers contributed to culture and left some fucking great cinema and music. Millenials and Gen Z contribution is a thing of tragedy in that regard.

Boomers and Gen X were given advantages that are not available for younger generations, therefore they are very judgy. Those generations could buy a house while working at a gas station. But I’m not sure that makes them the “most selfish”. I have the most issues with Gen Z.

Gen X.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 6, 2025 1:32 PM |
Gen X because many of them saw the horrors of Vietnam War when their older relatives returned and also were young liberals during 9/11. Now these cunts support Trump. Make it make sense.

Only in your favor dream. Maybe a trailer home.
You didn't even bother to list one of the worst generations - the Silent Generation. It wasn't Boomers that gave us Reagan, when it all started to go wrong. It was the Silent and Greatest Generations.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 6, 2025 1:34 PM |
R10 GenX saw for themselves the horrors of war when their older relatives returned home from Vietnam :-)
I don’t mean to be snarky I will bet you are a nice person and means well but this may be the dumbest statement I ever read about the Vietnam war, Hall of Fame quality dumbest.
Not trying to be mean

Younger boomers were the first generation whose politics were fully formed by mass media. Each generation since has been influenced by the media in a profound way as the number one influence on their politics.
Local politics and actually day to day living was the most important factor for older boomers and every generation before them.

Gen Alpha. Those asshole kids.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 6, 2025 2:46 PM |
Boomers and Gen X equally. Millenials, Gen Z, etc. have to deal with their inability to accept aging and societal progress.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 6, 2025 4:30 PM |
Millenials are the most rational generation.

The IPhone Generation
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 6, 2025 5:36 PM |
Gen X is not so much selfish as petty and stupid. They are willing to shoot themselves in the foot to own someone else. That's just stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 6, 2025 7:11 PM |
Gen Z don’t have shit yet thus no power. The only power they leverage is all the straight males who voted for Trump because the Dems need them in order to still be a viable party. They certainly ain’t gna win back white working class boomers.

R19 yet even white Boomers voted for Harris a lot more than Gen X did

R11 I knew many people with entry level blue collar jobs who were able to buy modest homes. In California, no less.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 6, 2025 10:19 PM |
R24 you said a gas attendant not an entry level blue collar job. And no I’m not r11.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 6, 2025 10:31 PM |
Good god, R24. It was an EXAMPLE. Yes, I knew people working at gas stations who owned a house. And also the grocery store, the bowling alley, the cabinet shop, a liquor store. Is that good enough for you?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 6, 2025 11:59 PM |
Yes, r3. People who are 61+ have had more of a chance to contribute to cinema/literature/music than people who are 13-44. Brilliant observation.

I’m Gen X and I think Millenials are so cool. I wish I could join their generation. I have many loved ones/friends/acquaintances in this cohort
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 7, 2025 1:50 AM |
I'm also Gen X but identify more with millenials. I admire their take-no-shit attitude about work/life balance. They're also generally much more thoughtful and empathetic.
I'm mortified that my generation were the biggest supporters of Trump in 2024. I remember in my 20s thinking we were going to change the post-cold war world and stop global warming. Of course I lost that rose-colored idealism a LONG time ago, but to see how far we've fallen is just horrifying. We went from "free to be you and me" to full blown fascism in half a century.

R26 were they retirees just working there to keep busy?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 7, 2025 1:52 PM |
I’m sick of the lies. Millenials have made some great films. We are still young gramps. The most iconic entertainer of all time Queen bey is a beautiful millennial.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 7, 2025 1:53 PM |
OK no one whose major job is working at a gas station can possibly afford to buy a house unless
they are the trained mechanics in the back fixing your car or they are Mexican or similar and they are making cash with a very popular taco mex food place that are now and then found in gas stations. Some are award winning.
I can’t speak for Nj I have never understood Nj and gas stations,
