The kind where an ordinary person is pitted against a psycho in a life-or-death game of cat 'n mouse? I'm thinking movies like "Hitcher" (1986), "Duel" (1972); "Night Terror" (Valerie Harper TV movie)?

[quote]Cape Fear
Both of them— the earlier one with Gregory Peck as the lawyer and Robert Mitchum as the bad guy (1962) and the later one (1992) with Nick Nolte as the lawyer and Robert De Niro as the bad guy (and Jessica Lange as the wife and Juliette Lewis as the daughter).
Both are creepy as fuck. The later one is more of a thriller, though.

"Dead Again" (1991) is such an underrated masterpiece.

The Firm, John Grisham’s first novel kept me up all night. I know Tom Cruise starred in the movie, but I don’t remember if was as good as the book.
Brad Meltzer’s first few books were also compelling.
