Which makes Larry Birkhead's parenting, even more of a great feat.

He raised Dannielynn to adulthood, and she seems like a smart, polite, and grounded young woman.

It’s touching that she was raised under the misperception that her Mama is cool and still performing before cheering crowds. There’s so much material to the contrary. Larry must have used that psychiatric chair popularized in the “Star Trek” episodes ‘Dagger of the Mind’ and ‘Whom Gods Destroy’.

As I recall that “backless” dress is also assless.

The way he speaks about Anna Nicole is not the way a straight man speaks about a former lover, but with the reverence a gay man would speak of his most-cherished late-hag.

I sat behind Larry and Dannielyn at a McDonald's in Palm Desert around 10 years ago, they were so cute together, teasing back and forth. Larry seemed like a great dad, and reminded my of my relationship with my nieces when they were younger.

She looks very much like her mother.

Larry takes Dannielynn out for "glam" special occasions, but for the most part she is just a regular girl.

She seems more comfortable in casual clothes, with her glasses on, and I think that's great.

Anna Nicole probably would have been horrified, but it's a much better life than the one her mother led.

I look forward to the Dannielynn thread each year. Larry has done an incredible job parenting. You can't say this about a lot of fathers: in the pictures I've seen of them away from the Derby, he looks like he enjoys being a dad.

The dress isn't trashy at all. It's been fitted for her small bust and shows no cleavage and the backless ends at a safe spot. It's cute that she kinda knows how to pose, but looks like she still feels awkward with the slight hunch. I agree she looks comfortable in her own skin in regular clothes.

Larry and Dannielynn have attended the Kentucky Derby together since she was 3 years old, a tradition that Larry said "was really born out of the babysitter cancelling on me the first year I brought her."

He continued, "And then everybody was like, 'Oh, how cute. And then I thought, 'Well, she wasn't that much trouble last year. So it became a tradition. Then people started looking for us and then the outfits had to be bigger."

Larry Birkhead is a solid father. Dannielyn is so lucky to have him in her corner. And they are adorable together. I’m so glad that, as Maury would say, that “[He] is the FATHER!!

I watch for the horses not the fashion. They are magnificent animals.

I could see Larry spending that much on storage, especially if he's storing couture and furs, there may be periodic repairs and restoration, many items would have to be stored in a climate controlled setting.

As a general rule, wide swaths of rhinestones, esecially when holding searate sections of clothing together, are tacky. The bare back is also in bad taste. Because what looks good on a former Playmate in her thirties is going to look sleazy on a teenager.

Dannielynn looks like she's a well adjusted young lady. Agree with above comments, Larry seems to have done a great job parenting.

It's remarkable how different the same dress can look on two different people. On buxom Anna Nicole, it was clinging to her curves and I'd bet there was plenty of double-sided tape keeping it in place over her chest. On petite Dannielynn, it looks pretty tasteful especially by today's standards. I've seen far more provocative prom dresses in recent years. The plunging neckline doesn't have the same effect on Dannielynn since she's not super developed (or enhanced) up top as her mom was, and the rest of the dress completely covers her from waist to ankle. In terms of her wearing some of her mom's iconic looks, I'd say this one was a good choice and a win.

“When she says she wants to do these things, I'm going to be supportive of it,” he told E!, “but I give her some cautionary tales of things that I encountered, her mom encountered, and so I think we put that altogether and give her the support, and we'll see what happens.”

The fact that she said her mother was "cool," is definitely a red flag.

And now Dani wants to be an actress and a model, just like her mother.

Daniellelyn's hair outside of glam shots looks super-thin. It looks so thin, I'm not sure she can withstand constant blow drying and treatments without becoming partially bald.

If she's going to model, that's one thing she'll be pick on for, among so many as her mother's daughter.

Hopefully, Larry insists on some college program before she goes that route.
