He needs to resign. He is permanently fucked up in the head. Why not just show the dude ur seatbelt is fucking buckled.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 2, 2025 5:47 PM |
This just came out and references the incident. But the broader situation is downright tragic. I felt very sad after reading it.

More proof that Pennsylvania is now a shithole MAGA state.
Elected Trump TWICE, and also has this dumb fucking asshole representing them in the US Senate.
How fucking pathetic.
Pennsylvanians should be very embarrassed.

He didn’t want to get his shorts and hoodie wrinkled.

Why Conor Lamb would have never!

It's going to be a bumpy flight.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 2, 2025 6:15 PM |
Just like Trump and a handful of others, he has no business in any elected office.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 2, 2025 6:44 PM |
I want to feel bad for him but I don't. His response to the war in Gaza was pretty much "fuck you, I never said I was a progressive". You did, asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 2, 2025 6:55 PM |
I feel bad for the flight attendant.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 2, 2025 7:00 PM |
I feel bad for whoever was in his row. His big self.

Only the ONE seatbelt?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 2, 2025 7:08 PM |
I found his Gaza stance refreshing for a progressive, proof some of them can still use their brain when it comes to foreign politics and don't default to idpol.
But so many other things he's said and done are bananas, just one red flag after another. And once your own camp starts leaking that you should be committed, you probably shouldn't be a Congressman anymore.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 2, 2025 7:08 PM |
I feel bad for his seat belt with the extender.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 2, 2025 7:09 PM |
His team and Biden’s former team know what the fuck they’re dealing with. Someone no longer mentally fit to hold office.

by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 2, 2025 7:21 PM |
Fetterman...Asshole defender of of land-grabbing, genocidal-committing Israel.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 2, 2025 7:23 PM |
off his meds. Does he not have 'handlers' around to to make sure he take his meds?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 2, 2025 7:29 PM |
That New York mag piece is exhaustively annotated and shows he really needs to be retired. Even his friends and aides say he's not well.
I feel sorry for his wife, who is a delight. Now I understand why she bailed on social media last year.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 2, 2025 7:33 PM |
R9 Support/non support for Israel wasn’t as much of a traditional “Progressive” issue before the attacks. That’s when left wing lunatics exploded it into a ridiculous one. Like R13, I also admired his backbone for Israel.
I also agree with R13 that it’s time for him to go. That article is just soul crushing. He has serious medical issues that need to be attended to, and unfortunately, he is not up for the job he holds.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 2, 2025 7:43 PM |
Progressives, famously unconcerned with humans rights. Thank God we have people like Fetterman and r13 to stand up to the lunacy of caring about unarmed civilians who are being blown to smithereens.

From the article above:
[quote]His 1,600-word email came with the subject line “concerns,”

R21, did you read the article?
There is no thanking "God" for this unfortunate man off of his meds and careening 90 mph to total disaster.

by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 2, 2025 10:37 PM |
Conor Lamb would've been better. More handsome, too.

Fine, if the plane experiences turbulance and he hits the ceiling he can't sue.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 2, 2025 11:13 PM |
Can’t believe the Conor Lamb troll was right. Fetterman is such a huge disappointment. I truly believe hes not taking care of himself, he obviously has a mental illness, but he needs to step aside. My feeling is that the stroke left him disabled mentally. He was not this erratic beforehand, I’ve seen him in many interviews before the stroke and he’s obviously deteriorated.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 2, 2025 11:22 PM |
Your lack of compassion is pathetic. He is obviously suffering from a mental health disorder . Am I the only one who has witnessed the suffering and shaming of a loved one with mental illness.
Thankfully the flight attendant de-escalated the tension.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 2, 2025 11:40 PM |
r26, because he turned out to be a kook. Duh!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 2, 2025 11:41 PM |
R30 We aren’t shaming him because he has a mental illness. We are shaming him because he has a mental illness that is affecting him to live a normal life and carry out his duty as a Senator.
He needs to live life as a private citizen and get the care he needs.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 2, 2025 11:51 PM |
Can't a bunch of his people get together and do an intervention? Like (I assume) they did with Biden?
I know I should know this (I'm really tired), but if he resigns his seat, would they have to call a special election? Are they afraid that if he resigns, they'll lose that seat to a Republican?
This should not be allowed to go on.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 3, 2025 12:01 AM |
R33, if his wife can't, who will he listen to?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 3, 2025 12:04 AM |
R34 She yields more power than you think.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 3, 2025 12:07 AM |
Okay, so it seems that people are complaining that he's either manic or depressed and despondent. That would point to bipolar disorder, more than just depression. Also the report highlight that it is essential that he stays hydrated. Last but not least he needs to give regular blood samples to assess the level of whatever he's taking. All point to the fact that he was clearly put on lithium. I was thinking maybe lamotrigine but staying hydrated on lamotrigine is not really something as crucial as when you're on lithium. Also lamotrigine's side effects are mostly subtle (that is until you turn 50, because eyes accommodation and memory are clearly affected at an age when they get worse anyway and so it can turn into a double whammy), whereas many people on lithium can't wait to be taken off it.
Oh well, my theory holds until someone comes with a better one. Until then lithium it is, what was given to him.

by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 3, 2025 1:29 AM |
He’s from a somewhat wealthy family and I think his behavior comes from a sense of entitlement as opposed to mental illness. As a US senator, he has one of the most powerful and important jobs in the country. Imagine being so cocky that you show up to work in a hoodie and shorts. He was doing that before his stroke. And only assholes argue with flight attendants. Everyone hates flying but just do what you’re supposed to do so people can get where they’re going on time. I hate people like that.

To R29, and others..I told you all before I believe the stroke fucked up Fakerman.-big time.
He has been hiding the conditions of effects of the after stroke, it was a very bad stroke& now the aftershocks are happening.
In January, I told Governor Shapiro, Bob Brady, Gov. Rendell and others, plus the DNC on what they need to do about Fakerman.
Appoint Conor Lamb to fill the seat.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 3, 2025 3:24 AM |
i don't know about all that, i only know that a senator must comport himself with dignity and if he can't, he can consider another profession.

[quote] Your lack of compassion is pathetic. He is obviously suffering from a mental health disorder . Am I the only one who has witnessed the suffering and shaming of a loved one with mental illness.
Wrong.
This asshole should not be a US Senator if he has mental problems.
There are MANY more qualified people to perform tbe duties of Senator, other than this dumb fucker.

by Anonymous | reply 50 | May 3, 2025 7:58 AM |
I feel terrible for Gisele and the kids. Imagine having to watch your father deteriorate like this. I've read that the only reason he's alive is that Gisele recognized the the signs of a stroke and demanded that he go to the ER.
I read on the thread about his staff quitting that he had a heart condition before the stroke and was non-compliant with the heart meds. Can you imagine him now with the personality change being compliant with *psychiatric* meds? Lot of denial.

This line made me chuckle as I thought about all the embarrassing & degrading things Lady G has done in service to The Master. And then there's Tuberville...
Overall, this makes me sad since Fetterman started out with such promise. But given the stakes, it seems like it would be better if he steps down & the dem governor has the opportunity to appoint another dem that has a chance of holding the seat.

by Anonymous | reply 62 | May 3, 2025 3:16 PM |
They won’t need to recall him, r62. He’s sadly going to stroke out if he’s not taking his medicine. It will be pretty horrible. Blood pressure is something you don’t mess around with.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | May 3, 2025 3:21 PM |
No, he either resigns or declared (medically) incompetent, R62.

Fetterman “claims to be the most knowledgeable source on Israel and Gaza around but his sources are just what he reads in the news—he declines most briefings and never reads memos,” Jentleson wrote. During his meeting with Ben-Ami, Fetterman had claimed that he had never met an Arab person who would condemn Hamas, but the notes from the meeting stated that only a “single Arab he has met with that staff was present for wouldn’t outright condemn Hamas.”

[quote] Fetterman clashed with his wife over Israel support and aides questioned his mental health, bombshell report says
Former and current staffers told New York Magazine in an eye-opening exposé that they are growing increasingly concerned about Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman, painting the picture “of an erratic senator who has become almost impossible to work for and whose mental-health situation is more serious and complicated than previously reported.”
The deep dive into his “struggles” also revealed that his fervent support for Israel amid the Gaza war – which included him allegedly saying “kill them all” in meeting with progressive Jewish group – has led to clashes with his wife Gisele, who emotionally pleaded with her husband to soften his stance due to the bloodshed of the conflict.
The bombshell report, which features anecdotes about the senator possibly ignoring his medical regimen following a 2023 stay in the Walter Reed Medical Center for clinical depression, comes after Fetterman has seen a “major staff turnover” in the past year. In fact, one of the key sources in New York’s piece was Adam Jentleson, the lawmaker’s former chief of staff who said he is worried that Fetterman “won’t be with us for much longer.”
A year after Fetterman was released from his six-week stay at Walter Reed, which itself took place months after he was hospitalized for a stroke, Jentleson sent a 1,600-word email to the physician who had overseen Fetterman’s inpatient care for depression. According to the letter, which contained the subject line “concerns,” Jentleson wanted to sound the alarm to the doctor about the senator’s behavior.
“We often see the kind of warning signs we discussed,” Jentleson noted in the May 2024 email. “Conspiratorial thinking; megalomania (for example, he claims to be the most knowledgeable source on Israel and Gaza around but his sources are just what he reads in the news — he declines most briefings and never reads memos); high highs and low lows; long, rambling, repetitive and self centered monologues; lying in ways that are painfully, awkwardly obvious to everyone in the room.”
Furthermore, Jentleson claimed that Fetterman was missing his regular medical checkups, was driving recklessly, had once again become obsessed with social media – an issue the senator admitted had become an “accelerant” for his mental well-being – and had recently purchased a firearm.
“He says he has a biometric safe and takes all the necessary precautions, and living where he does, I understand the desire for personal protection,” Jentleson added. “But this is one of the things you said to flag, so I am flagging.”
In response to New York's story, Fetterman denied that there was anything wrong, saying that he is currently enjoying the “best version” of himself and that the turnover in his staff was standard for a Washington lawmaker. When pressed on concerns from staffers that he could be suffering a relapse during an interview with reporter Ben Terris, Fetterman said he did not “have any comment on that” and requested to “go off the record.” When asked later if the staffers were right or wrong, Fetterman responded: “I’m just going to say that it’s disgruntled employees saying things that are either untrue or, so, that’s kind of the business that we are in.”

Oh, wow. This is more than Suzy Collins concerning. This is getting into potential family annihilator territory.
