His podcast can be really good but it’s erratic. I was surprised tbh. He did a great interview with Barack Obama a few years ago. I always check the new ones out, I can tell within the first few minutes whether it will be good. I can also tell when he’s high. You can really hear it, it’s very obvious. He’s slow and sluggish. When he’s sober, his voice is crisp.

Watched the clip, he’s on pain killers/benzos there. A few years ago, he relapsed with pain pills but no one knew. However, being a listener to his podcast, I could hear his voice change, the inflection, the bit of slurring. Then he admitted he’d gotten hooked on pain pills. That is what he sounded like in the clip. Maybe with some speed added in.

Oddly in the Kimmel clip he reminds me a bit of Chris Cuomo.

If I understood correctly, a year ago he showed up for his Kimmel guest spot looking like a slob and Kimmel got him a suit and had his wardrobe tailor it. So last night he pulled the suit out again to wear it. It looked a bit, I dunno, oily. Remember the thread we had about gay porn stars at their awards gala, and some where wearing suits that looked like they were just dug out of a storage cubicle, located on a commercial strip just out of town. What I've read on DL is that Bell continued to smoke pot while he was trying to maintain sobriety. I guess that could be considered insufficiently supportive, but it sure doesn't seem like pot is his drug of choice.

He's a really sweet guy. I hung out with him in NYC for 2 summers in a row 2008 and 2009 when he was filming movies here. He was introduced to me by a mutual business associate since Dax didn't really know anyone in NYC and just needed a contact here. We really hit it off and met on weekends to ride his motorcycle. No we didn't have sex or anything crazy but I would have lol. Those arms and the budge in his pants made me nuts. Anyway the craziness with Kate Hudson started and we drifted apart.
