Luigi: The Musical debuting next month

[quote] Luigi Mangione is getting the Roxie Hart treatment.

[quote] “A wildly irreverent, razor-sharp comedy that imagines the true story of Luigi Mangione, the alleged corporate assassin turned accidental folk hero,” writes the theater company.

[quote]It goes on to say that Mangione “navigates friendship, justice, and the absurdity of viral fame” all with “his real-life cellmates … by his side.”

A mere 6 months after the murder... I can't imagine that this will be any good. And I'm all for black humor, but isn't it really too soon?

And ethically dubious while the case is ongoing.

The subject matter actually works well, considering how successful Chicago was.

There really aren't enough musical songs out there about crippling back pain.

Since Gigi is an Italian nickname for the man's first name Luigi, maybe they should re-purpose old Frderick Loewe songs with new lyrics:

"The Night They Invented Back Pain."

"Thank Heaven for Little Guns"

"I Dismember Him Well."

STOLEN directly from Datalounge, most likely.

r1 The guy he killed was a rather dubious character. Sorry, I see Mangione as a modern hero. Hopefully the publicity from this affects the jury's decision and they let Mangione off light. Yeah, murder is wrong, but we go war to fight injustice.

And I suppose la belle Timothy will play Luigi in the movie?i
