Check him out.
Give me a rugby player over a swimmer any day.

R2 I’d like to get to the “root” of that tree tattoo

That's a bit misleading, because he sure didn't get that body from swimming alone. He hits the gym as often as any other professional athlete. The now-retired Dutch swimmer Pieter van den Hoogenband (for example) had more of a 'natural' swimmer's body.

Divers aren't swimmers R6 - it's a different discipline.

Are you going to be ok, r8?

Who are you, R8, Donna de Varona? Just look at that ass.

I have a younger friend Luca (30 years younger than I) who looks so much like Luca in the video above. Really handsome guy (especially when he has facial hair). However, he has a rather 'blah' body. He's 6' tall and more lanky - too thin. And no body hair on him from the neck down (and he's Italian!) which makes his body more blah to me. Since meeting him a couple of years ago, I've always 'hinted' he'd have quite the sexy appearance if he went to the gym and worked out, or went back to swimming (he said he used to swim in high school). But he's just not interested.

It's unbelievable how lean and cut your body can get from swimming, strength training, and diet. Regular lap swimming 30-45 minutes 4-5 days a week with strength training on alternate days, and cutting the sugary foods and alcohol from your diet will produce lean, defined, muscle over the course of three-to-six months..

R6, there should be some musical accompaniment to that video clip

Swimmers have a vaguely mutant look. Pole vaulters have the perfect physiques - good shoulders and arms to handle the poles, good legs for the run-ups and push-offs, but still trim enough overall to get themselves up into the air.

Decathletes have the all overall ‘naturalistic’ look, even more than mere pole vaulters.

Huge shoulders, freakishly long arms, short legs, massive feet, muscular as it gets, skinny as a noodle.
You need a very specific body type to excel as a swimmer.
