Miss Piggy is Overrated.
There, I said it.
A one joke character who’s long worn out her few laughs, she’s obnoxious, narcissistic, exceedingly homely and, frankly, abusive to the green guy. If the roles were reversed would any of this be considered cute? No.
If any fictional character deserves concelling, it’s that fat hog.

Miss Piggy was, at her core, a counterpoint to Kermit.
It all revolves around him and she, with all of her side projects, only exist to support and reflect on the moral center of the Muppet universe, The Frog.

Is “Miss Piggy” a euphemism for Patti Lupone? Because, yes.

OP, that's a terrible thing to say about the Governor of Arkansas.

Counterpoint: Miss Piggy is a true diva, the only muppet who is capable of functioning as a star outside of the “hey gang, let’s put on a show” muppet ecosystem (no one was tuning in to watch Fozzie Bear or Rizzo the Rat roast Martha Stewart or get into it with Regis and Kathie Lee) and has put up with decades of passive aggressive gaslighting from her twerpy “nice guy” boyfriend who clearly resents her breathtaking self-confidence.

Are you posting from the '80s, OP? One really doesn't see much of Miss Piggy these days. She was originally pretty much a background character on "The Muppet Show" until she became the breakout star. Kermit, of course, preceded that show by many years.

Miss Piggy is considered by the French to be a comic genius, on a level with Charlie Chaplin, Jerry Lewis or Theo Von.

The French also loved the heady psycho-sexual chemistry that moi generated with Charles Grodin in the Great Muppet Caper, R9.
