Do they do it for your approval? I doubt it.

I don’t mind someone who has a ring on their finger or a lots of rings on their finger. I don’t like cock rings nipple rings or earrings on a guy.

Tacky - same with multiple bracelets

I know someone who hooked their ring while climbing out of a dumpster (to retrieve something they accidentally threw away), and almost peeled the skin off their finger. I swore off rings after hearing that. Not because I dumpster dive, but because you can hook your ring on anything.

Earrings look naked without complementary caftans.

Is one on each hand too much? One large, one small.

Years ago on a reddit I saw on a nursing board that a patient with rings on every finger was always trouble. I've decided that they are right. Crazy, all of them that I've encountered

r9 thank you for posting that.
Me too, but it was an unsaid thing until you paved the way for me to just admit that, too.
I prefer to think of myself as more of a spectator of jewelry.

Many many many years ago, I read wearing a lot of rings is a sign of mental illness

I just wear my wedding ring— that has emotional meaning for me. Otherwise, my fingers too short for them.

I don’t think Karl Lagerfeld washed his hands very often.

It is interesting that wearing rings has fallen out of favor such that even women only usually wear their engagement rings and wedding bands.
Occasionally, you'll see a woman wear an expensive cocktail ring, but for special events and not day-to-day, even very wealthy women for whom wearing rings was tantamount to wearing nail guards in ancient China.

The women of my grandmother's generation all wore lots of rings. When they played the piano, which they all did, they moved their whole hand for each chord because they couldn't move their fingers individually. It explains the particular "bomp-de-bomp" rhythm underlying old-time singalongs. Anyone who was serious about playing the piano in those days ceremoniously took their rings off before they started. It was the signal that you'd better be ready to pay attention.
Young people trying to be cool by wearing tons of rings always makes me laugh because it just reminds me of that.
