The look a bit garish but the ingredients sound tasty and the preperation sounds rather easy overall. I will make these in the next ten days. They don't even require using any type of electric mixer- you can do it all by hand.

I know she's been mentioned in this thread at least once but this woman is the epitome of a BROAD, to me she's the BROADIEST BROAD who's ever BROADED-
Ethel Merman- I went to search for a photo of her that said BROAD. While searching I stumbled onto the San Francisco Chronicle that had an article about her from 2015 that describes her as a Jewish Legacy Actress. She was not Jewish she was Episcopalian.

This morning I bought the cane sugar and two packages of freeze dried strawberries at Whole Foods. The only ingredient I need that I don't have are eggs. The only eggs Whole Foods had were $12.49 per dozen Vital Eggs- OUCH. They were only medium sized eggs too. The recipe calls for large eggs. I shall just have to wait until I can pay a lower price and for large eggs. Consumer Reports said for baking that Land O Lakes was the best- not for putting on toast though. Just for baking Land O Lakes excells. I'm going to use the Land O Lakes unsalted butter for the cake and the frosting. I will report back the results here in about 10 days when I make this treat.
