Has Rojo Caliente released a statement?

How exactly would an infection in the leg lead to something like this, especially in a 44-year-old? I'm assuming sepsis was the cause of death, but I'd think generally they could get ahead of it with strong antibiotics. Was the amputation simply done too late? I have a lot of questions.

R24 - some viruses (rare) are resistant to antibiotics and treatment. I'm assuming this was the case. They amputated the leg that was most infected to give his body a chance to fight off the infection in the rest of his body, but it was too late

Stuff like this is nightmare fuel - it really could happen to anyone.

Last I heard, R25, pretty much all viruses were resistant to antibiotics.

R27 - that's why I also said treatment, bitch. We don't know if it was a viral infection or some other infection - but we know there are some that are antibiotic and treatment-resistant.

That’s really sad. I was a casual Drag Race watcher and don’t follow many of the girls but I always liked her a lot.

Just a thought - could she have ended her own life once she realized that one of her legs was gone forever?

I have known several (and read about) several queens who became ill suddenly and passed. One common denominator is the illegal cosmetic surgery they submit themselves to. Pumping as it's called can be done with silicone (or other undiscosed matreials) to the facial, breast, thigh and butt areas. Jiggly obviously ahd her face pumped and ikely other areas. Much of these procedures are done in a motel room or someones itchen or bedroom by unliscenced persons.

R30 - she was still in the hospital - I'm pretty sure they make hospitals relatively suicide-proof. Hooked up to machines, cameras, etc.

I can't imagine being perfectly fine, 44 years old, doing better than I ever thought I would in life - and then bam, dead 30 days later of an infection.

Well, fuck, it can happen in a lot less time than 30 days!

In addition to being eulogized by the likes of Laganja Estranja and Baga Chipz, Caliente's second-to-last Instagram post was a cream pie joke. She did RuPaul proud to the end.
