The victim was a lesbian, and was speaking to her girlfriend while driving when the attack occurred. She was killed instantly by the rock. I can only imagine what that experience was like for the girlfriend.

The guy who got convicted for throwing the stone was driving…maybe he could have done it but it was at night and he was driving so I would have thought one of the other boys threw it.

So the DA basically told the two who plead out that if they said Koenig threw the rock they wouldn’t get life? Because that’s what it sounds like happened. As someone said above, if Koenig was driving what is the likelihood that he could have thrown the rock that killed her? He was also the only one who didn’t take a plea deal. So Koenig’s buddy changed his story to pin it on him.

I’m not defending Koenig by the way. It’s just very sleazy all around.

I'm very surprised that one of these boneheads didn't record the rock throwing.

There's no detail in the article, but can't help but think when they separated the three for questioning, the cops offered each the same deal and told them it's a one-time offer, first one to take it gets the deal in exchange for testifying against the other two. Kwak had the better lawyer.
