I missed this when it was in limited release and just watched it this evening. I am a pretty big fan of Egoyan and also like Amanda Seyfried. In this, she plays a theater director staging a production of "Salome" whose life begins to spiral out of control as she revisits disturbing memories of her past. I found it compelling from start to finish. Anyone else seen it?
I saw it. Dull. Dire. Amanda Seyfried miscast.

Love Sweet Hereafter. My favorite film of that year.

We used to have an anti-Egoyan troll on DL. He was completely unhinged.

I saw it when it was out in limited release in March. It’s well done—an unsettling drama about how sexual misconduct affects the arts. Seyfried is very good.

Just watched it and loved it. It's like a grown-up version of the ridiculous "Black Swan". Also made me think of Ken Russell's "Salome's Last Dance" with the mesmerizing lead actress. Anyone remember it?
