Lar Park Lincoln IS DEAD TO ME!
Friday the 13th Part VII Final Girl and Knot's Linda Fairgate dead at 63.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025. Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors.
A Dallas-based entrepreneur, Lar founded Actors Audition Studios and authored Get Started, Not Scammed. Her television legacy includes her iconic five-year role as dual characters on Knots Landing, alongside Michele Lee and William Devane, and her powerful lead performance in Children of the Night opposite Kathleen Quinlan and Mario Van Peebles. She also guest-starred alongside legends like Michael Landon, Angela Lansbury, and Christina Applegate.
Lar earned the Bronze Halo Award for her contributions to entertainment and is best remembered as the telekinetic "scream queen" Tina Sheppard in Friday the 13th Part VII. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael, to whom she was married for 14 years; her parents Jack and Marjorie Dale; and her brothers, Jack Jr. and Pat. She is survived by her daughter, Piper (husband Tarek); son, Trevor (wife Danielle); sister, Karen (husband Harold); brother, Michael (wife Joan); four grandchildren (Aura, Benjamin, Jack, and Mia Grace); her poodle, Charlie; and countless friends, extended family, and admirers worldwide.
The family requests privacy during this time and is grateful for the outpouring of love over Lar’s four-decade career. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The SAG-AFTRA Foundation or The Entertainment Community Fund.

I do love this Friday the 13th - like r3 it was one of the first horror movies I saw; probably not THE first but it was I think the first Friday the 13th movie I saw and so it always held a special place in my heart as a Slasher fan. It's so goofy, with her telekinetic powers and her whore-bitch mom who looks like the biggest dyke on earth. You can tell they edited this one down, gore-wise. But it has a couple of hot guys in it that got half naked and were definitely an excuse to keep renting this from the video store and rewind and pause their nudity back when that was how we got that sort of thing.

In the Friday the 13th film, wasn’t she the Final Girk with the telekinetic powers?
Her Linda Fairgate character in Knots Landing was a BITCH and her death was pretty graphic for its day. They didn’t show her neck getting slashed but they did show the blood splatter on her shoes. Unforgettable!

She was great on Knots. Her murder came as a complete shock, both in timing and in method.
I always wondered if the hairstylists on the show hated her, though.

She was in the gay Friday the 13th. Almost every male character was played by a gay actor. I think the lady that played her mom was a lesbian.
We couldn’t get Freddy vs Jason yet so we got Jason vs Carrie,

That's wild that she was in scenes in Knot's Landing with an old friend who never made it as an actress and moved into makeup, and another college friend - a gay lead in FriGay The 13th - who ended up being a personal assistant in the midwest. Ah, Hollywood.

Always loved "Friday the 13th: The New Blood". Obviously not a revelatory piece of art, but it's a fun sequel and Lincoln was good in it. I remember there was a widely circulated rumor online years ago that her co-star, Susan Jennifer Sullivan (who played the wonderful cunt Melissa) had died, but this was later determined to be untrue.
Any self-respecting gay horror fan will know of "The New Blood" because it is the quintessential gay "Friday the 13th" film—as others have noted above, literally almost all of the male leads in it are gay, and you can kind of tell.

She was a good addition to Knots Landing in its final, waning seasons. The writers really screwed up by killing her off.
She was one of those actors who should had a longer, more prominent career but it never happened.
Im sorry to read.abour her passing.

I agree r33. That’s what made her death scene so shocking. You weren’t expecting it. She played bitch very well and I would have loved to see her give that overrated Paige Matheson, the blues.

This is sad. I loved her as Tina in F13: The New Blood. I didn't know she had battled breast cancer in the past. I am guessing this is what she died of. Usually when breast cancer recurs, it comes back with a vengeance.

I remember her from Knots Landing . She joined the cast in 1987 as the new bride of Eric Fairgate (Steve Shaw), who were 'visiting' the family ( I believe he met her across the country when he had taken a job out of college). Shaw returned to the series after an absence of a few years (he really was in college during his absence), and the writers were considering bringing this young couple back into the 'cul de sac', as thy were looking to bring 'new younger faces' into the mix to replace the older actors (Lar Park was going to be the 'new Abby' played by Donna Mills, who was departing the series in May,1989). Unfortunately, those plans ended when Shaw tragically died in an auto accident in December, 1990.
As the writers were focused on bringing in more new fresh young faces starting in the 1990-91 season, they realized viewers really wanted 'Linda Fairgate' back. Lar Park returned to the series, for seasons 11-13, now as the new love interest of 'Michael Faorgate' (Pat Petersen) as she left her husband Eric 'back east'. She was the new villain in the family,
The actress was born 'Laurie Jill Lincoln' on May 12, 1961. She had her nickname 'Lar' since she was a little girl, and used it professionally when she started acting as a child (there was already a Laurie Lincoln in SAG). She eventually left acting and opened a successful acting school outside of LA. She later married, and had two children (a son and daughter). Over the years, she lost both her parents, her sibling and her husband to cancer. Her husband died 10 years ago from cancer, and it was shortly after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Though no cause of death has been officially reported, it's believed it was breast cancer which ended her life this past Tuesday, a few weeks before her 64th birthday. She left behind her kids, their spouses, and grandchildren.

I was a big fan of Knots Landing back in the day, and I had a friend (who sadly passed away from AIDS) who as a super fan of the show. We would often watch the show together, and he hated the character of Linda Fairgate. Whenever she appeared on screen, he'd exclaim, "Ugh. It's LAR Park Lincoln," emphasizing her dumb sounding first name. Reading of her passing, I'm imagining my friend encountering her in the beyond and saying, "Ugh. It's LAR Park Lincoln."

From what I understand, unlike most actresses who need to be convinced to do horror, both she and her husband were ecstatic when she landed the final girl role in Friday. Apparently they were both huge horror films/Friday fans and this was a real "get" for her.
I always liked that about her.
She also was very well loved at shows and very loving to her fans.

I remember the clumsy way they made Linda into a blonde on KL by her saying she wanted to be more environmentally aware and it have chemicals in her hair so she was going back to her original color.
No way she was originally blonde.

It’s too bad Linda wasn’t around full time when Abby was on the show. Linda got under Karen’s skin the way Abby did.

Now it makes sense why it’s one of my favorite Jason movies as it had a gay cast.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw it. It was on TV as I was waking up in the morning as a kid and the Mom was running through the woods with her bad 80s hair screaming “TINAAAA” and she got held down and Jason shoved some sort of stick through her.
Traumatized me as a kid lol.
