It turns out he WILL be masked as the emcee in "Cabaret," which is hugely disappointing.

I saw "Cabaret" last week. He was not masked during the performance but put one on for the curtain call. The house staff had everyone put stickers over the lens of their phones - so not pictures will get out.

That's silly r2. Anyone can google pictures of Orville without his mask. We don't need to cover phones.

Apparently Orville is (unsurprisingly) a huge fan of leather bars and goes often to them.

They've been doing that during the entire run. They don't want pics or videos of the production getting out. Publicity photos are very stylish but not taken in the theatre. And you'll note there are very few bootleg audio and no bootleg videos in circulation. Anything posted on YouTube is taken down quickly. There are, however, several bootleg videos of the London production out there.

When they hand me a sticker in a Broadway show I stick it on my nose. Fuck them, I paid a lot of money to be here. I saw Cabaret with Eddie Redmayne and left at intermission, awful mess.

That full face shot was very disappointing. He'd probably look much sexier with a short beard, if he can grow one.

He is not ugly but not particularly good looking either. His performances are not consistent to me but I just love this video with Shania. He looks and sounds great here.

I always thought the mask thing was mostly inspired by Lady Gaga's disguising extravagant costumes and outfits when she started out, so people wouldn't focus on how homely she was. But I actually like his face, although there are so few full-face photos of him out there. He has big gorgeous doe's eyes.

The one thing I don't like, though are the tiny tattoos all over his torso. I don't hate tattoos--in fact, I like great big ones. But the dinky little tatts all over your body always seem too fussy and cluttered to me.

When he was starting out he was skinny (r55), and that just didn't help his face, which is unusual with the big widespread eyes. Now that he's so muscular no one is going to look much at the face (and being in that good of shape usually helps men's looks enormously anyway), but it was his shtick and he's probably nervous about hanging it--it took Gaga a while to be confident enough to remove the distracting outfits and masks and make-up.

He should be ready to take the mask off, but it sounds like he's taking baby steps. I think it's great that at least he no longer wears fringed masks, which made him look like he had a vaginal mouth.

He has a fine voice and a lot of stage presence. He also move well, although I agree that sometimes his moves are a bit cheesy (although I think that's what he's looking for).

I really like him overall, and want him to do well. He comes across in interviews as sweet and friendly. .

I don't listen to his music but I have seen him in interviews and I loved his Architectural Digest clip on YouTube when he shows you his house. His charm seems very, very genuine. His eyes are beautiful and I like his face!
