Always knew Courteney Cox was a long shot, but I'm as surprised as you are by the inclusion of Ross, Carr, and Fry right from the get-go. Just goes to show how massive this show is in the UK.

It’s a surprisingly high quality celebrity selection. Even the actors. Mark Bonnar and Celia Imrie fit the model of being talented, funny and well-known without having famewhore personae.

My guess is that all these people wanted to play the game and they may be unlikely to in season 2, so the BBC are stacking them in now.

I predict Stephen Fry will cry at least twice.

r3 The fact that this isn't trashy TV like Big Brother massively helps with celeb recruitment, I'm sure. Well, the American version is kinda trashy, but I doubt the British one will be like that.

Huge names? Really? Claudia is more famous than most of these people.

But in one season they have signed most of the biggest name people who would plausibly agree to be on this show.

Because she's more annoying? Maybe they're not huge as in A list actors but I'm an American who watches a lot of British tv and am surprised there are so many familiar names.
