I think it's more about him losing the weight...which, if he did it for the role, was probably not well-advised at his age because it looks like the life has been sucked out of him and he's becoming a dried-up leather bag. And we know that when Matthew McConawhatever did this, he never quite regained his looks. It's a risky business to lose weight/bulk up at an older age.

That's amazing to me. The only movie of his that I can stand is "From Dusk Til Dawn," and that's not solely because of him.
