The beauty of the first film was how simplistic it was. Ripping a mask off, seriously?
And nothing will ever beat the fat woman falling on Reggie Jackson! Or Frank taking a piss while miked at the police press conference while Nancy Marchand recoils in horror.

This is one of these trailers that instantly tanks a movie. The little girl gag is decidedly unfunny. They mistook "absurd" for "funny".

The original Naked Gun series was simple and tongue-in-check humor throughout. Virtually every reboot tries too hard, and it always comes across as forced.
