Wheel of Time series

It’s the third season and I haven’t a fucking clue what’s happening. I think I’m giving up

Why this is bad news for Harris/Walz Millennials longing for a Lost reboot.

Is it out already? Have to watch the last few episodes again before I watch the new season.

I’m sort of getting it confused with the Witcher.

I got it confused with the new Dune TV Series. I keep wondering when the bad all-powerful guy with the beard is coming out—but that’s Dune, not Wheel of Time

by Anonymousreply 3March 29, 2025 8:58 PM

I ONLY watch Wheel of Fortune

Finale was pretty awesome, but the season was once again fantasy overload – much like OP, I was confused most of the time. I don't know why so many are so into these books, there's such a thing as too much lore. And the fans throw a conniption every time the smallest detail is omitted in the show.

But dark clouds are gathering and there's speculation the viewing figures aren't good enough for a renewal. I think Amazon will just axe it, honestly.

Aren’t there something like 14 books? Is this series going to encompass all of them?

by Anonymousreply 6April 19, 2025 5:00 PM

Definitely not, I doubt Amazon has that kind of patience. The third season covered the fourth book however, so it's not a strictly one book one season kind of thing. Much to the chagrin of WoT fans, who wanted to spend the whole first season just in that damn Two Rivers village.

I started watching from season 1 this week. I have some quibbles about continuity to season 2. For example Loial the Ogier. I could swear he was knifed to death in the last episode of Season 1 but there he is in Season 2, fit and healthy. No explanation.

Josha Stradowski is gorgeous as is Daniel Henney

by Anonymousreply 9April 22, 2025 10:41 PM

Well I'm half through season 2. I haven't read the books. Im enjoying it despite it not being fantastic TV.

by Anonymousreply 10April 25, 2025 1:09 AM

Well, Amazon cancelled the show.

And I just cancelled my Prime subscription.

by Anonymousreply 11May 23, 2025 9:37 PM

Fuck. That sucks. Keep this one and ditch the Rings of Power.

by Anonymousreply 12May 23, 2025 9:57 PM

This really sucks. The first 4 books in the series are just amazing. They changed a lot for the TV show, and often not for the better. I think if done right it could have captured people's attention like Game of Thrones did.
