The surgeon did a superb job. Good for her! That was an unfortunate honker of a nose, I would have wanted it gone too.

She could have chosen to leave just a hint of the roman curve instead of going full anglo, but that’s a tiny quibble. I get the urge for a radical do-over.

I love a strong nose and usually I am opposed to nose jobs as it makes a face generic. However, in this case, the nose job was warranted - that was a BIG nose! However, I agree with R5 that it might have been better to leave a bit of the Roman strength in the nose. She has lost what made her unique.

I have what might be kindly called a "Roman nose." Not as bad as that poor girl's, of course. But I kinda like it. Besides, I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old, and my glasses break up the curve pretty well.

I've often found that a pair of nice glasses hides a multitude of flaws.

The bridge looks unnaturally straight to me now. But she had plenty of time to really figure out what she wanted and as long as she’s happy with the results it’s a 👍. Adding to my original birth defect comment, her original nose was so bad it was shocking. I also don’t get why her parents didn’t do what they could to help financially so she could have gotten it done sooner?

It really just proves that if you have nice eyes, you can go from unattractive to handsome real quick. This guys nose job was transformative.

I can see why she'd have wanted to get one, and feel great about the results.

I have something of a Roman nose (not that extreme), but as I'm a guy and a fairly average-looking one it doesn't strike me as worth changing through surgery. Just having my face fill out with age diminished its prominence and made me less self-conscious about it as time went by.

The before & after at R40, the nose leaps out as most obviously transformed, but a closer look suggests eye work and chin/jaw and lips and etc etc as well.

I don't like it. With her old nose she could:

- Smell sound

- Smell a fart in Australia

- Smell what's for dinner tomorrow

- Nose duel with Adrien Brody

- Breathe in 4K

- Make trees work overtime

- Inhale and exhale at the same time

And

- Breathe in the 4th dimension.

She did herself a favour by waiting until age 30 instead of doing it at 18 or even younger. Her body is fully matured by 30.

She could have had a rhinoplasty as early as 15 or 16 as girls’ faces typically have reached their adult proportions by that age.

I kind of hate my nose, but I didn't realize how much until COVID, when I had to record teaching videos of myself. It's large and bulbous. But it's certainly not as dramatic as OP. I would never have rhinoplasty, though, because 1) my terrible nose suits my face and 2) better the devil you know.
