I saw Anna Nicole Smith at a Hollywood industry party in the mid-2000s, right after rehab. She was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The party was wild, and she had two huge security guards not so much for fans, but to keep her in check. I wasn’t a fan and hadn’t watched her reality show, but she was everywhere, so I knew who she was. Even the jaded crowd was doing double takes, she was the undeniable star of the night. Sadly, she passed away not long after.

She was the definition of a hot mess. I always felt sorry for her, though.

I've seen a lot of interviews and there's a documentary on Netflix. She did seem like a sweet, small town girl with big dreams.

She was so much more together and articulate in her early years. Then the pills got in the way. She had too many breast surgeries and was in a lot of pain from them. But then it blew up into a massive addiction.

It's awful how her son died the day after her daughter was born and then she OD'd not too many months later.

She was gorgeous - I don't think she could have gone much further though. There wasn't much there in terms of personality or wit or intelligence.

If she never got famous, she'd have had a few more divorces under her belt, a few more kids along with an extra 200lbs, but she would probably still be alive (maybe a surgery addict). Becoming famous was fatal in her case. But she photographed extremely well with the right lighting, styling and had great bone structure, great teeth and a smile that lit up her face. When she was thin she had a great figure, but she had to fight the battle of the bulge.
