Why would anybody need to learn Norwegian?

To live in Norway one would assume.

R6 - Norway doesn't allow a lot of immigration outside of Nordic countries. A little but not a lot.

Based on his Instagram account, he has quite a few American and Middle Eastern students. He's even stayed at the family home of a Middle Eastern student who lives in Norway. He called himself the "brown Norwegian" or something like that.

Preben was also recently at a wedding in Pakistan (presumably related to one of his students) and visited Abu Dhabi or Dubai (can't remember which).

He has "Norwegian community" parties, and they look quite diverse.

Like r7 said, immigration to Norway is tightly controlled. They have Muslims, but not a lot.

Two slang Norwegians use a lot.

I imagine that immigration is capped because Norwegians all share in the off-share oil money which was invested into a fund, which has been earning a shit-load over the past 30 years. The citizens are likely to cast a jaundiced eye on random immigrants. There's a somewhat similar program in Alaska, but that money wasn't invested - instead the citizens get a pro-rated amount based upon a share of the profits of oil drilled just within the past year

Why Norwegians are so closed people?

Would rather have a few Muslims than that Anders Breivik who shoot and killed 70+ mostly young people a decade or so back.
