Loved her in Dharma and Greg.
I can just hear her Mid-Atlantic accent: "Dhhhharma," "EdWAHrd" "Gregory."
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 23, 2025 8:54 PM |
I honestly thought she died several years ago.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 23, 2025 8:55 PM |
Lenore Curtin, Another World.

R4 Let go of my fucking scarf, Walter!

The proper form is

Please make a note.

So sad. Reports couple years ago was she was recovering. She was so much fun to watch fighting with that bitch Angela Channing.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 23, 2025 9:13 PM |
As if my prayers will make any difference, but she has them.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 23, 2025 9:35 PM |
Susan just get up and twirl! Twirl Maggie twirl!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 23, 2025 9:40 PM |
David Selby I think is the only other one left of the older cast members.

No, R3, that was Jill Clayburgh.

She did recover from lung cancer. She's now battling lymphoma.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 23, 2025 11:14 PM |
Jill Clayburgh is dead?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 23, 2025 11:22 PM |
Susan, I'll give you a special scarf if you recover from this.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 23, 2025 11:35 PM |
Oh, I just love her. She was by far the best thing on "Dharma & Greg." And of all the many, many bitch-mother figures from Chuck Lorre's various TV shows, she's been the ONLY one to infuse the character with any humanity.
I'll be so sad when she dies.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 23, 2025 11:42 PM |
Double whammy, sad.

There’s no way to spin this horrible news.

I had no idea Kitty Montgomery was so highly regarded. Should I start watching the show?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 24, 2025 12:21 AM |
Susan was excellent on Castle. Never failed to deliver as the mother, Martha.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 24, 2025 12:33 AM |
Sorry to hear it.
I always enjoyed her performances.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 24, 2025 12:44 AM |
Like R8, she’s in my prayers.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 24, 2025 12:54 AM |
Maggie had that tumor they took out through her nose.
You know that wasn't going to stay away. I told her so at the time.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 24, 2025 12:57 AM |
What R12 said.
It's unclear if her lung cancer has returned; it seemed the surgery two years ago was curative.
Her current struggle is with lymphoma.

Never watched Castle either. I just looked up 'Susan Sullivan in Castle' and this came up. Damn! Quite a leap from Lenore and Maggie.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 24, 2025 1:32 AM |
Martha in Castle was much more along the lines of Kitty from Dharma & Greg. Slightly less snobbish, but Martha could have easily been one of Kitty's friends, the ladies who lunch, if you will.

She is far and away the best thing on it. She's unexpectedly hilarious.
But she's not on the show nearly enough, and you have to put up with the dull unfunniness of everyone else (although the guy who plays her husband Edward is also quite good).

Melissa had something to do with this. She has her hands in everything.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 28, 2025 11:51 PM |
Oh please let her be okay.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 28, 2025 11:56 PM |
Have always loved her. Kitty was one of the all time funniest characters on TV. "oh you wanted to SAVE the bird".

Maggie Gioberti survived a brain tumor but got her giant diamond ring stuck in the pool drain and drowned.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 29, 2025 12:10 AM |
at least she didn't have to drive away in Winnebago with a homeless man.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 29, 2025 12:11 AM |
R10, don’t forget Robert Foxworth… he’s still kicking!
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 29, 2025 12:15 AM |
R32. Oh, Mama!!
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 29, 2025 12:25 AM |
She’s heavily involved with the Adult Children of Alcoholics and had even written a book of poetry for ACOA. An acquaintance of mine met her at a retreat and she gave him an autographed copy of her book. Very sweet lady. And don’t forget that she was Nathan Fiilion’s mother in CASTLE.

Everyone on Dharma and Greg was great. Except for Dharma and Greg.

I hope there's some kind of public funeral or service. I want to see how all the FC stars look today.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 5, 2025 8:54 PM |
I am a 20-year lymphoma survivor. I'm pulling for her to come through this. It IS possible!
