Chef Anne Burrell Breaks Silence on Surprising Absence From 'Worst Cooks in America'
Though neither the network nor Burrell have publicly addressed why she’s not appearing on this season, fans weren’t shy about asking the celebrity chef where she’s been through Instagram comments.
“Why aren’t you in Worst Cooks? It’s not the same,” commented one fan, to which Burrell replied, “Honestly I don’t know. 🤷🏼♀️😑❤️.”
Another fan asked a similar question, writing, “Chef-how come you are not doing Worst Cooks this season. That is your show.” Burrell answered, but didn’t offer much in terms of closure, writing, “Uuuuughhh…I know. And I don’t know. 🫤🤷🏼♀️❤️.”

I stopped watching the show after the 3rd season because I couldn't believe there were THAT many terrible cooks out there. It seems like people were purposely fucking up so they could get on the show.
When I saw the previews for the new season, I was shocked to see Antonio LoFaso. I don't really care for her at all. Also, why not teach these people, who can't boil water, how to make a basic dish like roast chicken or a grilled steak? Why are they learning to make gourmet fare?

Because, it's all for show. They know the basics of cooking already, but the script tells them to be incompetent.

Yep r3. For the first episode cook they are encouraged to be really bad and funny for the TV cameras.
A lot contestants take some cooking classes before coming on the show. They want to stay longer/win and get more air time.
I feel bad for Anne Burrell that Food Network gave her the boot. But she isn't a very charismatic and "fun" personality which is what they look for in the wake of Guy Fieri's success

This is actually the "celebrity" edition, and not the regular people.
Tiffany "New York" Pollard is also on this season.
