Streisand 'breaks her silence' on LA fires
From her official Facebook page, Streisand shares this message:
[quote]I know the fear and anxiety of evacuations and waiting to see what happens to your home in natural disasters. Some of my dear friends and colleagues have now lost their homes. I am grateful for their lives and the incredibly brave work of the LAFD. But my heart breaks for all my neighbors and our beloved city.

Did the mall have to close even for a day? Lots of smoke? Air quality?

It stayed open. You think I'm missing the opportunity to sell my bottled water for $7.00 a bottle? I mean a gal's gotta eat.

Loving the mall but being a big star would come with certain challenges. Building your own is kind of genius. Do we think she has a food court?

I wonder what she would grab from the mall if she had to evacuate?

If the fire had reached her mall, the unsold copies of her memoir would have burned for weeks.

Well Cher, you'd be too busy saving your daughter. Oh. Wait. Never mind.

She's fine, she sends her love from the Abercrombie in store lounge with men at her side.

I was supposed to meet a trick in the bathroom stall in Barbra's food court. Whatever will I do now?
