I LOVE this sweet Turkish farmer and his donkey
DOLLFACE ALERT!!
Sometimes, the randomness of the algorithm cuts through all the war, anger, politics and just brings you something lovely and peaceful. Today, I got served a video of this very sweet Turkish farmer who makes the most peaceful, simple, but absolutely delightful videos of him interacting with his farm's animals. The most adorable ones may be the ones he posts with his donkeys, sharing a snack of some freshly picked fruit or vegetable with him. Their faces are just expressive, seeing their human'esque teeth chomping down on an apple or carrot is adorable and you can just tell -- from the way they interact, to the contentedness in their eyes, to their body language -- that these animals are loved and well cared for by the farmer.
Anyway, I thought you guys might enjoy it, too.

Since IG videos don't embed here, I uploaded the first one in OP to streamable, but here's a direct link to the farmer's profile (and another donkey video...)
His handle on IG is ccihancelik_
..And, he lives in a town called Safranbolu

Idyllic.
One of my friends has a hobby farm with two donkeys. They are fucking adorable! They love to be petted and made over. I wish I had the room for a small barn and a donkey or a mule.

Another multi-species Dollface video. Dolphins showing empathy for a special needs dog. It made me tear up. They even tried to share toys.

For some reason I feel like I should be calling someone, like the NAACP or the Grand Mufti.

R11 - weird, huh? I wonder if, you know, as a farmer, he spend a lot of time, oh, I don't know... outdoors... in the sun?

I've got a friend in Wisconsin with donkeys. She rescues animals and always has 3-4 at a time. They are just the sweetest things. So loving and affectionate and funny and bond very quickly to humans and each other.
If I ever realize my eldergay dream of retiring with a small farm and a large man who enjoys baling hay, I hope to own a couple donkeys of my own. They need to have a donkey friend otherwise they get very lonely and depressed.

[quote]and a large man who enjoys baling hay
Is this a euphemism for some obscure sexual fetish?

I wonder if the sweet Turkish farmer has a big ol' hog, if you get my drift.

Fun fact: Female donkeys are called "jennies" and male donkeys are called "jacks"!
A "mule" is a cross between a jack and a mare, while a "hinny" is a cross between a stallion and a jenny.

Donkeys are, not only sweet, but very adaptive. This one was a beloved pet, but got spooked during a hike with human dad in Northern California. He was spotted *five* years later by a turkey hunter as he was leading a herd of Elk in the coastal hills.

I’ve noticed this thread a few times over the past few days, so glad I decided to open it, such a lovey and joyful thing to see and some much needed light relief. Thanks for starting this thread OP.
