I suspect M's relationship with her children is similar to another Pasadena mother from an earlier time: Kate Lawrence. I can see M, like Kate, indulging the boy and the baby lesbian and being completely exasperated by her eldest daughter Mamie (Nancy). I guess that makes Grace the Quinn Cummings character, who Kate abided to an extent.

R32 they aren't being coy. They're friends. MArtin has had tragedy in his life and Meryl is still adjusting to her divorce, and they're more like "girlfriends" than anything else. There's nothing sexual going on. I check the sheets every morning. They sleep in separate rooms.
