Everyone keeps saying it.
Is Justin Trudeau really resigning tomorrow?
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 7, 2025 2:46 PM |
Why would he?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 5, 2025 11:31 PM |
I wonder what’s next for him?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 5, 2025 11:33 PM |
A 6-hour Netflix documentary prominently featuring his spectacular ass, we hope.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 5, 2025 11:36 PM |
If everyone keeps saying it to OP, it MUST be true!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 5, 2025 11:44 PM |
R2, sex and sin
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 5, 2025 11:53 PM |
Sure fucking hope so. Though the damage is done. They raised the federal tax rate this year, AGAIN. I'm currently in a 45% tax bracket.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 6, 2025 12:07 AM |
He's gone in the next week, I'd guess. Nothing to suggest tomorrow. But his collapse might as well be complete.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 6, 2025 12:23 AM |
Labour is projected to win fewer than 20 seats in the next election.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 6, 2025 12:25 AM |
Labour?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 6, 2025 12:26 AM |
Is that federal only R6 or does that include any province/territory taxes?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 6, 2025 12:31 AM |
He's only been PM since 2015. Seems much longer.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 6, 2025 12:37 AM |
Sorry to see his handsome face go
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 6, 2025 12:58 AM |
[quote] Sorry to see his handsome face go
And ass walk away.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 6, 2025 1:01 AM |
What did he do?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 6, 2025 1:03 AM |
R15, from a recent column:
"The government has squandered our fiscal advantage, hollowed out our military, shattered our immigration system and shown little interest in our anemic productivity while economic, geopolitical and security threats to Canada rise to Defcon levels."
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 6, 2025 1:06 AM |
Why is Poliverre, the presumptive PM, spending 90 minutes of his time talking to that crank Jordan Peterson?
It's unbecoming and unserious.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 6, 2025 1:07 AM |
Because he abs Peterson are Putin’s bitches.
Word has it that PP can’t even pass a background check for a security clearance. Much like his orange god.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 6, 2025 1:18 AM |
So is Canada going the way of the US and getting a Trump psycho?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 6, 2025 1:20 AM |
Yep, r19
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 6, 2025 1:21 AM |
I’m sorry to hear that. Canada is a good neighbor.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 6, 2025 1:33 AM |
Province Farm is there.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 6, 2025 1:35 AM |
Guess we can't run there. Mexico it is! Or Vietnam.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 6, 2025 1:35 AM |
We'll see. That idiot Poilievre will not get in. Singh all the way.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 6, 2025 2:01 AM |
Agreed, r21.
I’m hoping the Canadians are smarter than we are in the US. That they’ve seen the US shitshow enough to know they don’t want one of their own.
Don’t let us down, Great White North! We need you!
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 6, 2025 2:01 AM |
Omg, so it's going to be Wednesday now?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 6, 2025 2:05 AM |
Before Wednesday, R26.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 6, 2025 2:06 AM |
It would be nice. And don’t worry he and his ass will stay in the public eye. He’s an attention whore.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 6, 2025 3:54 AM |
Did he take a walk in the snow?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 6, 2025 4:08 AM |
Is there any snow in Ottawa right now, R29?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 6, 2025 4:20 AM |
[quote]Why is Poliverre, the presumptive PM, spending 90 minutes of his time talking to that crank Jordan Peterson?
Because Pierre Poilievre has Trumpian qualities -- he is a right-wing populist who pandered to the Covid deniers, wants to block action on climate change, shut down Canada's public broadcaster, and regularly attacks journalists who ask him questions.
Because Trudeau overstayed his welcome and has been fighting to hang onto his leadership, Pierre Poilivere has been getting an easy time of it. I hope once Trudeau moves on that more Canadians start seeing how much Poilivere has in common with Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 6, 2025 6:47 AM |
MARY!
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 6, 2025 1:54 PM |
I'm happy to console him, with my mouth and ass.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 6, 2025 1:56 PM |
I learned this from the "Liza Minnelli Outlives" Twitter account.

MARY!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 6, 2025 3:06 PM |
He resigned. Will stay on until a new party leader and PM is selected. Parliament prorogued until late March.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 6, 2025 3:08 PM |
Pwowogued.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 6, 2025 3:18 PM |
What is the view of Nunavutians?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 6, 2025 3:19 PM |
R41, obscured by ten feet of snow.

Politically, those are not really viable alternatives.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 6, 2025 3:32 PM |
Trump did it. He said he would raise tariffs on Canada. Justin flew to Mar-a-Lardo to plead with him that it would destroy Canada's economy.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 6, 2025 5:46 PM |
Trump's still saying after Trudeau's resignation that "many" Canadians would love to become the 51st US state. Really? I don't know know ONE. Dumbass.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 6, 2025 7:27 PM |
Many members of Trudeau’s own party agreed with the opposition that Trudeau was unsuited to the task of leading Canada in tough negotiations against Trump, who has threatened to increase tariffs against Canadian goods unless its border with America is brought under control.
The final, fatal blow to Trudeau’s administration came when his deputy prime minister and finance minister, Chrystia Freeland, resigned on December 16. Freeland wrote a scathing letter of resignation that blasted Trudeau for irresponsible spending on “costly political gimmicks” in the face of Trump’s tariff threats.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 6, 2025 7:32 PM |
Canadians are horrified by the US healthcare system and would never want to become Americans for that reason alone.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 6, 2025 7:36 PM |
Canadian's also enjoy better labour rights than Americans (sick leave, vacation, parental leave, other worker's rights etc...) no one I know would give those up.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 6, 2025 7:42 PM |
But God wants us to suffer. He doesn’t want socialism! He told me in my sleep on April 7, 2006.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 6, 2025 8:11 PM |
Then pop out your crotchfruit and head to work the next week, R49. And no paid time off when said crotchfruit ends up dead in a school shooting either!!
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 6, 2025 8:19 PM |
R50 “But I don’t put my kids in public schools. I’m smarter than the teachers who want to indoctrinate the children with, get this, CRITICAL THINKING!”
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 6, 2025 8:27 PM |
What's the process after Trudeau resigns? Will his party vote in a successor who will then serve until the term ends or will there be snap elections?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 6, 2025 9:51 PM |
[quote]I’m hoping the Canadians are smarter than we are in the US. That they’ve seen the US shitshow enough to know they don’t want one of their own. Don’t let us down, Great White North! We need you!
I'm sure they will be, R25. With Canada having a parliamentary system, they are less susceptible to the 'one man-one party' domination of the federal government like the United States. A Canadian Trump would not have as much power as Trump does. Parliamentary systems might be less stable than the executive presidential system with having to form coalitions to govern, but a number of countries considered among the best functioning democracies worldwide have adopted the parliamentary system and it works well for them.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 6, 2025 10:18 PM |
Will his fragrant boxer shorts lie in state in Parliament Hill, with sniffing hours, in honour of Trudeau's years of service.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 6, 2025 11:10 PM |
Not many, but we have some idiots here who would like Canada to be the 51st state. I usually tell them: "Yeah, it would be great to be represented by two Senators - just like Rhode Island!"
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 6, 2025 11:16 PM |
That’s a bit comforting, r53.
Still, I will miss his handsome face.
And what the hell part if the CANADIAN BORDER is “out of control”?
Srsly? Hockey players are sneaking over into Minnesota to play?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 7, 2025 12:25 AM |
Bieber and Mendes managed to get across. Send them back!
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 7, 2025 12:29 AM |
So did Nickleback, r57.

by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 7, 2025 1:31 AM |
[quote] And what the hell part if the CANADIAN BORDER is “out of control”?
Not the border, per se, or even illegal immigration.
Problem was that nobody was watching the store post COVID; all of a sudden 350k immigrants per year jumped to over a million.
That's what people are reacting to in an era of both housing and healthcare scarcity.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 7, 2025 1:34 AM |
r44 if Canada's economy is destroyed then that means Montreal's strip clubs will fill up again with more sexy northerners willing to share their ass, wave their cock, or let you play with their holes in the private booths. So it wouldn't be all bad.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 7, 2025 1:43 AM |
Canadians came HERE, r61?
With our shitty healthcare system and ammosexuals shooting everyone?
What? I find that hard to believe.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 7, 2025 5:14 AM |
[quote]I don’t want him to go. 😭
It may be time for us to start another hot world leaders and politicians thread since the good ones seem to be dropping like flies. Trudeau leaving, Macron deeply unpopular at home, etc. It feels like it be a while before another leader with an ass like that gets elected.

We had some road that illegals were just sauntering through. The biggest problem is the endless Indians. When Indians who have been living here for decades complain about it you know it’s an issue.

Roxton Road?

Most of the Indians here are on student visas which only allow you to work here for a year after you graduate after which you have to go through the usual application process of becoming a permanent resident. As somebody who works at a Canadian university, it's highly nontrivial to hire a non-Canadian (except for NAFTA country residents, which are a different story.) If we want to hire someone who's not a Canadian resident, we have to score all the candidates, prove that a non-Canadian is at least 10-20% of the points higher than any Canadians and then write a letter of justification to the Ministry of labor who, ultimately, decide whether the work permit will be granted. Unless you're a refugee from some war torn area, it is *very* hard to enter Canada other than through the usual channels: applying for permanent residence through family connections, the point system, or getting a work permit approved by the Ministry. The Indians who have been here for a while just want the door to be closed after they get in, kind of like Cubans south of the border.
