Better than French letters!

by Anonymousreply 1January 2, 2025 9:05 PM

It’s one of those movies easily dismissible as a late night HBO skin flick.

by Anonymousreply 2January 2, 2025 9:08 PM

It's no Summer Lovers.

by Anonymousreply 3January 2, 2025 9:16 PM

No enough male nudity?

by Anonymousreply 4January 2, 2025 9:45 PM

this looks so late 70s

by Anonymousreply 10January 3, 2025 2:02 AM

How sid you even see it, OP? It was a flop on arrival never to be seen again.

by Anonymousreply 11January 3, 2025 3:36 AM

R11, it's been on TV, VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray.

by Anonymousreply 12January 3, 2025 3:46 AM

Best movie ever

by Anonymousreply 13January 3, 2025 4:15 PM

What are some movies similar to French Postcards?

by Anonymousreply 14January 3, 2025 4:32 PM

Is male bisexuality referenced at all? If so, I'll check it out!

by Anonymousreply 15January 3, 2025 6:57 PM

Debra Winger and Mandy Patinkin in their first films (I think.)

by Anonymousreply 16January 3, 2025 8:28 PM

The Blu-ray version is great and it has the original music!

by Anonymousreply 17January 3, 2025 10:02 PM

5 stars

by Anonymousreply 18January 4, 2025 4:12 AM

Does this movie have a big gay fanbase?

by Anonymousreply 19January 4, 2025 7:10 PM

I suspect the promo photo is misleading.

by Anonymousreply 20January 4, 2025 7:22 PM

R20, I don't know you mean

by Anonymousreply 21January 5, 2025 1:01 AM

This looks vaguely familiar. I would have been 18 at the time and desperately horny and lonely. I'll have to check it out.

by Anonymousreply 22January 5, 2025 1:07 AM

This movie is incredible

by Anonymousreply 23January 9, 2025 9:18 PM

Where r24?

by Anonymousreply 25January 19, 2025 4:32 AM

I LOVE this movie!! Quite poignant! I'm sorry that the DVD I own does not have the original music. Marie France Pisier is wonderful, and a very underrated actress.

by Anonymousreply 26January 19, 2025 6:37 AM

R16 Mandy's first film was The Big Fix (1978) where he played The Pool Man.

by Anonymousreply 27January 19, 2025 8:05 AM

Debra Winger's first film was Slumber Party '57 (1976) where she played Debbie.

by Anonymousreply 28January 19, 2025 8:07 AM

R25, DVD

by Anonymousreply 29January 19, 2025 7:15 PM

R26, the newer version released on both DVD and Blu-ray in 2016 by Olive Films has the original music in it.

by Anonymousreply 30January 19, 2025 7:23 PM

Did anyone see this movie when it first came out in theaters?

by Anonymousreply 31January 20, 2025 8:06 PM

OP is the basic sm twat who thinks starting a thread with a stupid question will lift her to the big time.

by Anonymousreply 32January 20, 2025 8:28 PM

What would you change about this movie if you had to or could?

by Anonymousreply 33January 21, 2025 11:30 PM

I just found out that David Marshall Grant who played Alex is gay....I had no idea.

by Anonymousreply 34February 4, 2025 11:03 PM

I fell in love with this movie when I was a teen, as it played constantly on HBO in the late ‘70s-early ‘80s. I remembered Blanche Baker (daughter of Carroll Baker), from her Emmy-winning role in Holocaust; a slimmed-down Miles Chapin, as the fat kid in Bless the Beasts and the Children; and Debra Winger, as Wonder Girl. I thought David Marshall Grant was sort of ugly/cute.

by Anonymousreply 35February 4, 2025 11:28 PM

R35, wow I didn't know Miles used to be that fat
