This is the best option as pointed out by R33. It isnt a deterrent, but it prevents them from reoffending - incapacitating them by removing them from potential victims. That's what matters, any punishment aspect is largely irrelevant, and any deterrent effect you get is a bonus

These crimes were planned, and afterwards were not only repeated, but sent to others and financially benefited from. The aggravating factor of this being done by not just a person of authority but their adoptive parents is particularly heinous.

People that do this type of thing have severe personality flaws which not only make it possible for them to do this, but make them a danger to society in general if they ever saw the light of day again.

I for one hope they aren’t killed in prison. I want them to be segregated from the general population, kept isolated for the entirety of their prison terms so that each minute passes slower than the one before and they are forced to think about what they did and where they ended up because of it.
