'RHOP' star Karen Huger called herself Thomas Jefferson's concubine in wild video after DUI arrest.

She nasty

I don't watch this trash, but this person's nose is atrocious.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 19, 2024 11:05 PM |
This is her second DUI and she pissed the court off with delays-the Grand Dame might end up ruling Potomac from a jail cell next season.
They also haven’t shot the reunion yet for this season.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 19, 2024 11:09 PM |
I feel sorry for her husband. He seems like a sweet guy. I don't want to see Karen get jail time. Probation, Rehab and community service.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 19, 2024 11:42 PM |
2nd DUI?
She will likely kill someone one day.
I wish immediate death upon all drunk drivers.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 19, 2024 11:46 PM |
R10- I am with you-- This woman was SO drunk- She WOULD have killed someone. Fuck her.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 19, 2024 11:47 PM |
She was. It's actually kind of amazing she didn't. She couldn't even hold her head up in the police cruiser.
And what's this about a trial (in which she was obv found guilty)? How thee actual fuck do you not cop a plea with the video evidence showing the full extent of her inebriation? What a vile piece of garbage she is.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 19, 2024 11:53 PM |
R12- thank you- Agree completely-

I never liked her. I don’t understand why people love delusional housewives.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 20, 2024 12:33 AM |
I've never watched one of those shows, nor the Kartrashians.
I don't get the excitement of watch entitled twats rattle on about their lives, shopping, makeup, sex, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 20, 2024 12:37 AM |
I don't know how she can ever recover from those arrest videos. She has too much pride to admit that she has a drinking problem.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 20, 2024 12:37 AM |
Even Luann at her coked out delusional zenith and Shannon, who never fails to be the forever-sinned-against victim in her self-narrative, immediately copped to what they had done and took their lumps after their alcohol-related arrests.
It’s obvious that Karen naturally inclines towards overweening pride, refusing to face up to things and “fronting” about her life, but I think that Potomac, as a show, has co-signed, indulged and celebrated a lot of her most bullshit tendencies because she’s flamboyant and compelling - and after a decade or so this has made her dangerously high on her supply.
Also, all that Thomas Jefferson’s Concubine “I’m descended from slow owners” stuff is yet another example of the-call-is-coming-from-inside-the-house Black self-loathing that is always spilling out on this franchise.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 20, 2024 12:42 AM |
R18, the concubine thing is the most outrageous part of her drunken rants. Where the fuck did that come from? Like you said, self-loathing, but I would never expect that to come out when being arrested while heavily intoxicated.

by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 20, 2024 1:04 AM |
What’s a slow-owner?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 20, 2024 1:08 AM |
Slave-owner, R24, I’ve had a couple of glasses of wine! But unlike Karen, I’m not going to puke in my handbag and then get behind the wheel of a leased Maserati.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 20, 2024 1:16 AM |
Shortly after her arrest, Huger attributed the accident to grief and her mother’s 2017 death. “Grief comes and goes in waves, and with Mother’s Day approaching it has felt more like a tsunami,” she said at the time.
Ugh - she's so full of herself. These ladies go on these shows and make a complete fool of themselves - no one believes their shit.
The lies!! The LIES!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 20, 2024 1:22 AM |
She could face up to 2 years - of course she won't. But I'd like to see her in the hoosegow for a few months. 2nd DUI and all.
Then lying through her teeth and delaying the trial. How the fuck do you watch this video and go - yeah, our mistake.

I still remember an early episode of Potomac (when they were really playing up the “etiquette” stuff) where Karen was waiting for her aunt to arrive, and was talking about the aunt being very proper, had to be served “piping hot” tea, a Grande Dame, etc. Said Auntie rolled up in a raggedy Altima and was just an average old southern country lady.

Wow this is crazy. I cant believe how many times she references Bravo, Andy Cohen, she's the Grand Dame of Potomac, shes on TV etc. she sounds like a shill. She's clearly plastered out of her mind so it seems weird that in a time of stress and drunkenness, the most you think to talk about is your Bravo-lebrityness makes me think shes nuts, beyond the actual DUI. I wonder if all those women are like that? It's funny that Kyle the cop, keeps insisting he has no idea who she is or what she's talking about.

I didn’t watch the entire video and I’m not a huge fan of cops (often can’t believe how patient some of them are) but I find it so reprehensible when people brag that they make more than the cop - I’ve heard it many times on these bodycam videos and it’s so gauche.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 20, 2024 11:26 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 20, 2024 12:59 PM |
R52, seriously, I cannot believe this woman decided NOT to take a plea after they had that all on tape. She really deserves to go to jail.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 20, 2024 1:39 PM |
R56 - and this is her SECOND DUI.
You got all that money and can't afford an Uber?
This is just another example where being rich (well, that's debatable) and famous means that rules don't apply to you.
But being a belligerent drunk crosses all economic and racial boundaries - we've seen this behavior from all types time and time again.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 20, 2024 2:49 PM |
R57, right, that's the part that is damning. It's her SECOND one. A second DUI means you should have the book thrown at you. She should be made an example of.

[quote] Karen Huger Sentenced to 2 Years in Prison After DUI but Will Only Serve 1 Behind Bars
Karen Huger was back in a Montgomery County Circuit Court on Wednesday, Feb. 26, where she was officially sentenced to two years in prison, with one year suspended, for her ongoing drunk driving case.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star, 61, — dressed in all black and with her husband of 28 years, Ray, by her side — will have to serve five years probation. She has 30 days to appeal the judge's decision, and 90 days to ask the judge to reconsider his order.
While taken into custody, Huger told her husband, "You will be alright" and that "God's got you," a source on the scene tells PEOPLE.
Huger was arrested in March 2024 after a single-vehicle crash into a street sign, three miles from her house.
She was officially charged with a DUI and DWI, negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property.
Other charges include failure to control vehicle speed on the highway to avoid a collision, driving a vehicle in excess of reasonable and prudent speed on the highway, driving a vehicle on the highway with suspended registration and failure to notify administration of change of address within 30 days.
In December, a jury found Huger guilty on all charges except reckless driving.
Then, in January, Huger entered into a private recovery program in Florida to, as she later explained, "get to the bottom" of "taking antidepressants and drinking." The visit meant that she couldn't attend the taping of the RHOP season 9 reunion, and had to have her sentencing pushed back while she also replaced her legal team.
Surprisingly, Huger did appear at the reunion, in the form of two videos — one taken the day of sentencing and another, after she had made the decision to enter rehab.
The first video featured Huger getting candid about her relationship with alcohol, insisting she doesn't have an issue. "No, I’m not an alcoholic, let’s be clear," she said, before telling her fans, "do as I say, not as I do."
Asked about her reaction to the verdict being read, Huger recalled, “My heart dropped.”
“This is very frightening but I accept full responsibility for everything that went on with my car accident," she said, noting that her first priority was her family during this time. "I don’t care about me right now. I care about my children, I care about my family. They are so hurt.”
Later, Huger thanked some of her past and present cast mates for their support. Cohen got a shout-out, too, with Huger telling him, "Your notes meant the world to me. They were always on time."
Huger ended her message by noting that though she's known as the Grand Dame, she plans on "coming back as Karen Huger only, because Karen is enough."
Her words brought costar Gizelle Bryant to tears. "That is my friend," Bryant said. "I’ve heard too many things to count of Karen doing kind of reckless things. My prayer has always been, ‘She needs to get some help.’ And not in a shady way and not to tear her down as a person. She’s a beautiful person. So... this makes me feel like, ‘Oh, she really realizes this is it.’ "
Earlier this month, Huger's new attorney, David Martella, opened up to the Washington Post about the "profound impact" this has had on Huger, noting the trial itself was "a wake-up call."
"She was shocked with embarrassment," Martella said, noting that since her return from her 28-day treatment center, Huger has been active in Alcoholics Anonymous.
But prosecutor Jordan Kramer reportedly noted in filings obtained by the outlet that Huger had three previous alcohol-related traffic cases between 2006 and 2011, including one in which she was found guilty for driving while impaired and another in which she was found guilty for driving under the influence.

In the early seasons (pre-Mia) of this show, these women were always making manners and social standing the center of their storylines. I always got the impression some of them thought they were superior to the Atlanta women.
But they spend a lot of time on this show dealing with criminal indictments.
Karen’s husband and Gizelle’s ex-husband have both been accused of tax evasion.
Monique had a DUI and Candiace pressed charges against her when she assaulted her.
One of the cameramen pressed charges against Ashley’s ex-husband for assault (he kept grabbing his dick and ass).
And now Karen and her DUI.

Like many jail inmates, Karen Huger raised her hand when she became eligible for work-release.
In Montgomery County, Maryland, where she was sentenced to 12 months for drunken driving, that meant transfer to a highly regarded facility geared toward rehabilitation and treatment that looks more like a college dorm than a jail. It would be a small step toward normality for Huger, 61.
Huger’s application for work-release was approved by the corrections officials. All that remained was the generally routine approval from where the case started.
“She drew the wrong judge,” Montgomery County defense attorney David Moyse said. “It was just horrible luck.”
The judge - Terrence McGann, known for his quick humor and heavy sentences - issued a “disapproval of transfer,” illustrating how outcomes can be so judge-dependent.
“I love Judge McGann. And as a resident of Montgomery County I am happy he’s a judge,” Moyse said. “But I am even happier if my clients never end up in front of him.”
Huger is now set to finish her sentence as one of about 835 inmates at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Given that she has served two months so far and that she is accumulating good conduct credits, Huger will probably be released by November, according to court records and her attorney.
Huger’s court case also kept her from appearing in person during the final three episodes of Season 9.
Her attorney David Martella said that while the jail offers some in-house treatment programs, transfer to the work-release center would have been more treatment-focused and allowed Huger to return to an outpatient program she’d been attending before she was sentenced. “It’s a great program,” Martella said. “We were disappointed she wasn’t approved.”
Residents of the facility, officially called the Montgomery County Pre-Release Center, are required to start their stays by using facility computers to seek a job that conforms to certain parameters: close enough to reach on foot or public transpiration; zero alcohol being served; nothing that involves being video or audio recorded. That last rule, while rarely invoked, would have halted Huger from any quick return to the show.
“Anyone who is really looking to make a change will do well here,” said Ivan Downing, head of community corrections for the county.
And while smartphones are forbidden, residents receive old-school, no-internet no-emailing cellphones. If they follow rules, they can see visitors every evening. The facility has TV rooms, fed by a cable package that includes the Bravo network.
As Huger’s court case got underway, co-star Bryant claimed on a recent episode that Huger was offered a deal to plead guilty in exchange for a sentence of six months’ home confinement with a GPS ankle monitor. But according to Bryant, she wanted her day in court.
“I would have taken it,” said fellow cast member Wendy Osefo, dressed in a glitzy white gown. “I would have bedazzled my little ankle bracelet.”
Going to trial meant availing herself to whatever judge was most available to handle the case - including “senior judges,” like McGann, 75, in semiretired status but still working.
Huger was convicted by a jury in December. McGann brought her back for sentencing on Feb. 26.
State guidelines, while not binding, suggested he impose probation but no jail time - a recommendation McGann ridiculed from the bench. “The guidelines offer the court a wide sentencing range: The floor is probation, and the ceiling is probation,” he said. “If there was ever a time to label guidelines as ludicrous, this is the time.”
He was influenced by Huger’s three earlier drunken driving cases and imposed the 12 months. Upon her release, McGann ordered that she serve at least three years of supervised probation to include any alcohol treatment deemed necessary by her probation agent.
“Just looking at all the facts of this case,” said Stacey D. Stewart, chief executive of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, “I think the judge was trying to send a message that this person’s behavior needed to change.”

Man, her husband is a sweetheart.
Many women would love & appreciate a man like that, & this woman is driving around crashing out behind the wheel, instead of trying to stay out of trouble & ends up embarrassing herself & him forever on film.
She could have killed herself and/or someone else.
